Type of Villain A nine-tailed fox spirit or better known as Kitsune, Tamamo is hell-bent on causing chaos and mayhem across the country by disguising herself as a concubine of several kings and also responsible for plunging Japan into a civil war after her death.
After reaching 1,000 years of age and gaining its ninth tail, a kitsune turns a white or golden color, becoming a tenko (天狐, 'heavenly/celestial fox'), the most powerful form of the kitsune, and then ascends to the heavens.
One such list is the Three Most Evil Yokai of Japan (japanese: 日本三大悪妖怪, Nihon san dai aku yōkai). These are the three monsters who, according to legend, posed the greatest threats to Japan's existence. They are Shuten dōji, Tamamo no Mae, and Sutoku Tennō.
The Amanojaku or Amanjaku ( 天邪鬼 あまのじゃく , "heavenly evil spirit") is a prehistoricdemon-like creature in Japanese folklore. That has been recorded before Japan had a written language.

Evil Japanese Foxes: Nogitsune (野狐)

Inari Ōkami (Japanese: 稲荷大神), also called Ō-Inari (大稲荷), is the Japanese kami of foxes, fertility, rice, tea and sake, of agriculture and industry, of general prosperity and worldly success, and one of the principal kami of Shinto. In earlier Japan, Inari was also the patron of swordsmiths and merchants.
Amaterasu is the highest deity in Japanese mythology. In the most famous legend about her, she shuts herself away in a cave, bringing disasters to both the world and heaven.
Lord Enma (エンマ大王) is the eponymous main character of the 2015 Japanese anime film Yo-kai Watch the Movie: Lord Enma and the Five Tales, Nyan! He is the current ruler of the Yo-kai World and predecessor after his namesake grandfather King Enma.
In Japanese mythology and fantasy, mazoku (魔族) are supernatural beings, normally evil ones such as devils or demons. A maō (魔王) or maou is a ruler of mazoku, or in fiction more generically a dark lord or powerful monster.
Zashiki Warashi, the Guestroom Child

Kaze Kitsune
These kitsune are incredibly rare and are said to bring good luck to those who find them.
Kitsune have a fear or a hatred of dogs. Dogs can detect kitsune. Until they gain their ninth tail, kitsune are essentially physical foxes. Kitsune can be consumed by negative emotions easily to the point that it can lead to death.
In Japanese mythology, there are said to be 13 types of kitsune, which correspond to different elements—celestial, wind, spirit, darkness, fire, earth, river, ocean, forest, mountain, thunder, sound, and time. Broadly, they can also be broken into two groups—zenko, or good, and nogitsune, or bad.

Yokai are a whole class of supernatural creature that, as well as yūrei, encompasses goblins, gods, demons, and almost any kind of monster you can imagine. They crop up frequently in the world of anime, film and manga, in everything from Spirited Away to Shiki.

Evil foxes, known as nogitsune, are wild creatures that serve no god and carry no divinity within their souls. They are known for shifting into human form, and in some cases presenting themselves as beautiful women to lure powerful men into their traps.
