General Grievous was among the greatest and most feared Jedi hunters, personally killing numerous Jedi in lightsaber combat during the course of the Clone Wars. He was notable as a rare example of a non-Force sensitive being who nevertheless could hold his own against the Jedi in lightsaber combat.
Star Wars fans know that Order 66 was one of the major turning points in the history of the franchise. The order was given by Darth Sidious (the Emperor) to execute all the Jedi across the galaxy which allowed the Empire and the Sith to rise to power.
A Pau'an Jedi hunter with dark-side Force powers, the being known as the Grand Inquisitor served Darth Vader. He followed the Sith Lord's orders to seek out fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive youths, preventing them from becoming a threat to the Empire.
The first Dark Jedi was believed to be Xendor, who was the first member of the Jedi Order to fall. Other forerunners included Ajunta Pall and others who, after the Hundred-Year Darkness, were exiled from Galactic Republic space and became the ancient progenitors of the Sith Lords.
Of the six Jedi Masters and two Jedi Knights who congregated, Tsui Choi was by far the strongest, something made all too clear when one of the Jedi leaked their location to Lord Vader to set an ambush for him. All eight of the Jedi were slain, but Tsui Choi had Vader on the defensive.
Aside from agility and telekinesis, Yoda could absorb and redirect Force attacks, like lightning. Because of his higher understanding, he would easily overcome Darth Vader in a fight, though that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a difficult battle.

1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
Order 67 was an order requiring clone troopers to dance. During the Battle of Utapau, Darth Sidious accidentally issued Order 67 when he meant to use Order 66. Just after the order was executed, Cody and his troops began dancing.
Darth Sidious was able to cheat his upcoming death by transferring his spirit into a clone body while falling into the reactor core of the second Death Star. He later sought to prolong his existence by futilely manipulating his grandchild Rey into killing him so he could live further by possessing her body.
Anakin Skywalker completed his journey to the dark side in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith with the slaughter of the younglings at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Many have questioned why he killed innocent children, especially when they posed no immediate threat to the Empire and could be converted to the dark side.
By far the most iconic Sith Lord and warrior is Darth Vader (or Anakin Skywalker). He, through his extensive injuries and being trapped in a technologically-advanced suit to survive, stayed strong with the force.
A Sith Lord with the ability to cheat death and create life, Plagueis is the mentor of Sheev Palpatine / Darth Sidious, who, in accordance to the Sith's Rule of Two, eventually betrays Plagueis by murdering him in his sleep, taking his place as Sith Master.

Biography. Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
Anakin Skywalker is the son of Shmi Skywalker, born without a father through the Force. He is the secret husband of Padmé Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the father-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandfather of Ben Solo.
Unwilling to see his son die, Vader gave his life to save Luke, thereby dying as Anakin Skywalker. Anakin ultimately fulfilled his role as the Chosen One and brought balance to the Force, fulfilling Qui-Gon Jinn's belief in the prophecy that foretold Anakin's destiny.
In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. Galen was secretly trained as a Sith Lord apprentice to Vader, but returned to the light side and the Jedi.
Most of them were just happy to last longer than 20 seconds against the Grandmaster, and bragged about it to their friends if they could.
One of the main reasons why Yoda would've won against Anakin is simply because he was far better trained than him. Yoda could see the moves his opponents were going to make before they made them; therefore, battling against Anakin would've put him at a far heavier advantage.
Over the years since the Youngling massacre, and even sometime before, Darth Vader has regretted killing the Younglings, recognizing that it was the most terrible thing he had ever done.
Jedi like Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi have long stood as light against the darkness. But the record Sith-killer is actually Darth Bane himself. Darth Bane, founder of the Rule of Two, killed more Sith than any Jedi in the history of the Star Wars galaxy.
Only one person could defeat Darth Vader once and for all. The spirit of Anakin Skywalker, long dormant, finally rose and overcame the dark side. While his body failed him, Anakin rose once again and defeated the Sith once and for all. Both Sidious and Vader met their ends that day, at the hands of Anakin Skywalker.
Aftermath. Although Order 66 greatly depleted the Jedi Order's ranks, with an estimated less than 100 Jedi surviving it, it was only the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge, which stretched on for years and claimed the lives of many of the survivors of the initial onslaught.
