Ymir Fritz gained her Titan powers by coming into contact with a mysterious, spine-like creature, often called the "Source of all living matter" or "Hallucigenia," after falling into a tree, though historical accounts vary, with some legends claiming she made a deal with a Devil. This entity, a biological origin point, merged with her, making her the first Titan and the original holder of the Founding Titan power, which she used for 13 years before her death.
