Anyone who isn't considered "worthy" by Mjolnir's enchantment, often defined by selflessness, humility, and good intent, cannot lift it, including characters like Iron Man (Tony Stark) and sometimes even heroes like Spider-Man, despite their power or good deeds, because their pride, past actions, or internal struggles temporarily (or permanently) disqualify them, as seen with Hulk and even Thor himself initially.

It is not canon. That is a wild theory that is very popular but it has never been said in the comics. The only evidence that people show when they say you must being willing to kill is that Peter couldn't lift the hammer, but nothing ever said that the reason he couldn't lift the hammer was his reluctance to kill.
