In the main One Piece canon, the only character who has successfully damaged Luffy's iconic straw hat is Buggy the Clown.
It has been damaged twice in the manga canon. The first time it was damaged by Buggy when he was fighting Luffy. Buggy spat on the hat as well when he learned that it previously belonged to Shanks. After the fight, Nami repaired it for him.
The iconic Straw Hat that Luffy wears was originally owned by the legendary pirate Gol D. Roger, the King of the Pirates! This hat was passed down to Luffy by his mentor, Shanks, and symbolizes Luffy's dream to become the Pirate King.
Zephyr & Uta Both Saw the Straw Hat as a Symbol to Destroy
He does this to show that he rejects what Luffy represents.
Nami, though temporary until after Arlong Park, joined the two Straw Hats as the third member. Now we have 2 + 1, which is 3. Usopp (and the crew's first ship) was the next addition.
The "D." in One Piece (the "Will of D.") is a major, unresolved mystery, but theories suggest it represents Dawn, symbolizing a new era and liberation, or possibly Devil/Demon, linking them as enemies of the Celestial Dragons, while also often signifying bearers of grand dreams like Luffy, Roger, and Ace who possess immense willpower and destiny, often laughing in the face of death.
Unfortunately, even with how much Usopp has grown, everyone else has grown more, so Usopp remains the weakest member of the Straw Hat Pirates even after almost 30 years. That's unlikely to change anytime soon, but at the very least, Usopp can still contribute to fights more often than not.
Similarly, in the Impel Down arc, Ivankov took 10 years of Luffy's life, which was a daunting decision for Luffy to accept. He was injected with hormones to be able to continue fighting, at the expense of years from his lifespan.
Shanks defeated the demon and had to come up with an excuse to tell Uta so that she'd stop being a pirate and be a world renowned diva, as well as save her from any burden because of the incident. Uta was lied to by Gordon that Shanks destroyed Elegia, which filled her with rage and hatred over him and pirates.
Alright so here's my theory; During the journey of finding the Poneglyphs and learning about Laughtale and JoyBoy with Roger, Shanks learned the truth about JoyBoy somehow(probably through a haki thing) and that he knew Luffy would become JoyBoy.
Zoro. Not only is he the most loyal, he also have the biggest confidence in Luffy. If Luffy says he's going to fight an Emperor right there and then, most of the strawhats will probably say something like "are you sure?" or "we're not ready yet" or "are you crazy".
God of the Sun is Nika, the Human Human Fruit: Model Nika - Luffy. God of the Forest Un-Named, Human Human Fruit or Woods Woods Fruit - Chopper or Aramaki. God of the Rain, Un-Named, Unknown Fruit - Possibly Dragon. God of the Earth, Un-Named, Tremor Tremor Fruit - Blackbeard.
The next pirate to inherit Roger's will is Luffy. 🔥 His main mission is to make Monkey D. Luffy the Pirate King. With the title as grand as the Pirate King, Luffy will be able to confront the World Government.
So far, Nami, Robin, and Usopp have all chosen to officially leave the crew in the past, before returning. Additionally, Chopper and Sanji have been coerced by third parties to leave the crew against their wishes, with Chopper returning soon afterwards, and Sanji leaving for about a week.
Luffy is just a kid, he a boy not asexual.
However, his true dream, revealed in Episode 1088, is something much bigger, which he wants to accomplish after becoming Pirate King. Fans speculate his ultimate dream could involve, throwing a worldwide feast where everyone—pirates, marines, civilians, minks, and more—comes together.
Blackbeard is the final fight, he's luffys opposite. Blackbeard has the darkness fruit and Luffy is the sun god .
While opinions vary, Portgas D. Ace's death is widely considered the saddest in One Piece, primarily because he died protecting his brother Luffy, fulfilling his desire to be loved, but at the cost of his own life during the Marineford War, devastating Luffy and fans alike. Other frequently mentioned heartbreaking deaths include Belle-mère (sacrificing herself for Nami and Nojiko), Donquixote Rocinante (Corazon, for Law), Whitebeard (a legendary figure falling), and Pedro (a selfless sacrifice).
Each Mugiwara would die for Luffy. Even Nami or Usopp. None of those three above betrayed him : Robin and Sanji gave themselves away to protect him, and Nami was just using him until he proved himself to her at Arlong Park, that's when she truly joined the crew.
I figure after Marineford was the closest-- he lost his crew, fought for hours in Impel Down, got poisoned, hormone stuff, still lost Ace anyway, got hit by Akainu, needed emergency surgery by Law. Luffy was so broken during that time--physically, spiritually, emotionally.
While it was the first time many strong characters in the One Piece world saw Luffy use Haki, he had technically used it unknowingly twice before the Marineford arc: Against the bull Motobaro in Episode 389. Against the Boa Sisters at Amazon Lily in Episode 413.
Luffy needs to increase and improve his haki even more, to face the admirals, elders, and Shanks! Only Dragon he can't beat right now. Blackbeard (DF diff), Shanks (Haki diff), Mihawk (Slash diff), Dragon (Haki diff), Imu (Haki + Steal his allies diff).
"Desert King" Sir Crocodile is a former Warlord of the Sea and the former president of the mysterious crime syndicate Baroque Works, formerly operating under the codename "Mr. 0".
JUST SO YOU KNOW ⁉️📣 Nami was the weakest Straw Hat for 95% of the series until she got Zeus — so stop saying Usopp's the weakest. It's only a matter of time before he gets a power-up.
