Xenophilius betrays them to the Death Eaters, hoping to free his daughter Luna, whom the Ministry has imprisoned, and they narrowly escape from his house. Harry is tempted to pursue the Hallows and abandon his quest for the Horcruxes.
However, Mundungus appeared to be braver than people such as Peter Pettigrew. Though he had a tendency to flee when the situation seemed grim, he never actually turned against the Order of the Phoenix. Also, his crimes mainly included stealing and robbing, never killing.
The Deathly Hallows Part I begins with a whole bunch of double-crossing and betrayals. Snape betrays the Order of the Phoenix. A guy from the Ministry of Magic becomes a Death Eater, which is probably how the Ministry ends up falling. And that's just the beginning of the movie.
Narcissa Malfoy
Narcissa betrayed Voldemort by lying about Harry being dead at the Battle of Hogwarts and ran with her son, leaving the Death Eaters completely.
In Chapters 4 and 5, Mundungus is one of the decoy Harry Potters, and is paired with Mad-Eye Moody. Terrified of the Death Eaters pursuing them, he deserts his post, leaving Mad-Eye to get hit by a Death Eater's killing curse. It's one of the least courageous moves we see throughout the entire book and many battles.
Mundungus Fletcher is a minor character in the Harry Potter franchise. He is mainly an anti-heroic and supporting character on the protagonists' side who occasionally serves as an antagonist, depending on the situation. Bellatrix Lestrange (née Black) is the first female Death Eater introduced in the books. Aunt of Draco Malfoy and Nymphadora Tonks. She was introduced in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She is the most faithful member of Voldemort's inner circle.
Hedwig's killer is not explicitly identified, so he/she may have appeared in other books, films or video games, but the only known appearance is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. A popular fan theory based on book canon suggests that Snape may have killed Hedwig.
At different points, Dumbledore possessed all three Deathly Hallows. He won the Elder Wand from Grindelwald, had the Invisibility Cloak in his possession when James Potter died, and wore the Resurrection Stone as it sat in Marvolo Gaunt's ring.

This betrayal had the biggest damage in the series as it made Harry an orphan, sealed Sirius in Azkaban for twelve years, and led to all the deaths shown in the future when the Wizarding War resumed.
They are betrayed by Mr. Lovegood and captured by Voldemort's Snatchers. Climax: The Snatchers take them to the Malfoy mansion, where Harry and Ron are imprisoned while Bellatrix tortures Hermione for information.
In order to preserve his position as a trusted Death Eater, Severus Snape was forced to tell Voldemort the true date at which the Order planned to move Harry.
Harry describes Umbridge to Sirius Black, saying that she's vile enough to be a Death Eater, despite not being one. Umbridge is also depicted to be a prejudiced person, despising half-breeds and Muggle-born witches and wizards to the point of firing Hagrid due to his half-giant birth status.
Draco had several reasons for lying to Bellatrix, including the fact that he was never a bad person. Moreover, he no longer found working for the Dark Lord appealing and hated how Voldemort treated his family. He did not intend to harm anyone and believed Harry was the only person capable of defeating Voldemort.
Besides Dumbledore, he is also the only wizard ever known to be able to apparate silently. Voldemort was also said to fear one wizard alone, Dumbledore.
Delphi was conceived from a liaison between Voldemort and Bellatrix. She was born at Malfoy Manor, shortly before the 1998 Battle of Hogwarts. As Bellatrix and Voldemort were both killed in the Battle and Bellatrix's husband Rodolphus was imprisoned at Azkaban, Delphi was raised by Euphemia Rowle, a Death Eater.
In 1998, Fred participated in the Battle of Hogwarts, defending the castle's passageways with his twin. While fighting alongside his brother, Percy, he was killed in an explosion possibly caused by Death Eater Augustus Rookwood.
The most likely reason why Lord Voldemort's nose disappeared and he devolved into such an evil-looking creature is that as he dabbled deeper into the Dark Arts, his appearance gradually became as distorted as what remained of his twisted soul.
Bellatrix Lestrange was Lord Voldemort's equal in cruelty, if not worse than him. She was unparalleled when it came up to committing some of the most horrible acts of cruelty and destruction. She truly belonged to the Dark side and loved to embrace it.
Moody's death came at the betrayal of Mundungus, and the moment he disapparated, Moody was struck by a killing curse by Voldemort and fell off his broom to a certain death.
In the fourth Harry Potter film, Barty Crouch Jr. is enlisted by Voldemort to infiltrate Hogwarts to get closer to Harry Potter. He does this by assuming the identity of ex-Auror, Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody and taking the position of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.
After the Triwizard Tournament, Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall figure out that he's Barty Crouch, Jr. in disguise, a sadistic and clever Death Eater on a mission to bring Voldemort back to life. On a rewatch, fans may start picking up clues that Mad-Eye was actually Crouch, Jr. all along.
