No single person always beats Batman, but villains like Bane (who famously broke his back) and the Joker (who psychologically torments him) have inflicted devastating defeats, while supernatural or overpowered beings like Darkseid, or even skilled allies like Lady Shiva, can best him, though Batman usually wins in the long run through planning and resilience.
Bane. The page everyone remembers from Batman: Knightfall is Bane “breaking the Bat” over his knee. But Bane beat Batman by working smarter, not harder. Bane was able to defeat the Dark Knight physically by first exhausting him spiritually (and, well, also physically).
Bane is the most famous one. Though he only beat him because Bruce had just fought many other villains and was sleep deprived. Most of the villains have kind of defeated or captured Bruce throughout the decades. Joker has "won" a few times against Batman by kidnapping him or successfully causing some tragedy.
While Batman almost always triumphs over the Joker, there have been some times when the Joker has been able to defeat his archfoe, one of the most notable times coming in the 2014 story known as Batman: Endgame.
But in our minds, here are 10 of the most powerful superheroes to ever grace a movie screen.
Batman is the better tactician and the superior martial artist. Tony is the better technician and inventor. It comes down to gadgets and fighting ability. Tony can't win in a straight fight, but Bruce wouldn't be able to overcome Tony's technology.
In terms of fictional wealth, Tony Stark (Iron Man) is generally considered richer than Bruce Wayne (Batman), with estimates placing Stark's net worth at around $100 billion, while Wayne's is estimated at around $11.6 billion.
The four big pillars of DC moving forward, according to the man in charge of its parent company, are Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman... and Supergirl.
Deathstroke, as well as Bane, are formidable adversaries due to their cleverness and strength. Even with all of these potent antagonists, one thing is abundantly clear: the Joker is far and away the most dangerous. His level of chaos, craziness, and volatility is unrivalled.
The Joker
The Clown Prince of Crime is a criminal mastermind who qualifies as one of the top supervillains of all time, in any universe. He is Batman's arch-nemesis introduced in Batman #1 in 1940.
Superman is afraid of Martian Manhunter because of his abilities.
However, after decades of public service, he finally was killed by his longtime nemesis, the Joker. After his death, his butler Alfred revealed his secret to the world. A public service was held, where citizens, former foes, and other superheroes would come to pay their respects.
Characters like Maxwell Lord, Lex Luthor, and Alfred Pennyworth have found ways to defeat Superman through cunning and strategy. Even powerful beings like Godzilla, Brainiac, Darkseid, and Wonder Woman have proven capable of besting Superman in battle. There are few characters in DC as powerful as Superman.
Yes he can. It's Batman we're talking about the same guy that shot darkside, the same guy who went toe to toe with Superman. Batman can literally kill the one above all if he was given enough hours of prep time. If Batman has enough prep time he could beat all of the avengers.
DC Comics has confirmed that Black Manta is "the only prominent DC character who has ever explicitly been identified as autistic in the comics" – making it clear that the publisher is committed to including neurodivergent characters in its stories, but also that they have a long way to go to be more inclusive.
Created by writer Steve Englehart and artist Joe Staton, he first appeared in Millennium #2 (January 1988). Extraño is noted for being the first openly gay superhero in DC Comics.

The Wealthiest Superheroes of All Time
At the pinnacle, we have Black Panther with an estimated net worth of $90 trillion. His wealth primarily comes from Vibranium, a rare and incredibly valuable metal found only in Wakanda.
Billionaire Oliver Queen uses both his wealth and his unmatched archery skills as the Justice League's battling bowman, Green Arrow. Although he is commonly thought of by many as just a modern-day Robin Hood, the Green Arrow is so much more than that limited description would lead you to believe.
If they face each other in a fight without armor and gadgets, we clearly know who will be the winner. I'm a batman fan but mcu iron man vs dceu batman, definitely ironman will crush Batman. But in comics I think they are draw with all god level suit ironman and batman has, definitely a draw.
The three smartest men on the planet are Mr Terrific, Batman and Lex Luthor. Ted Kord is 192, not Bruce Wayne. We are never really given a specific IQ from what I read, but Lex Luthor is the smartest man in DC with an IQ over 250.
One of the Marvel characters who could beat Batman in a fight is Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. If you think about it, Punisher is Batman without the no-kill rule. For him, the only way to treat criminals is in the most brutal and bloodiest fashion — and he isn't about to give them a second chance to screw up again.
Genius Level Intellect: Batman is noted as having an I.Q. of 1045. Martial Arts: Batman is a master of martial arts from across the universe, able to catch the original Batman off-guard and defeat him with a single blow; he is also known to incorporate psychic attacks into his fighting style.
