The sequel trilogy may have grossed billions across the globe but there was a significant dip after every installment. After The Last Jedi, the global gross declined by 19.4%, while the domestic gross declined by 17%.
One of the Star Wars sequels' most obvious failings was keeping Han, Luke, and Leia apart. The Star Wars sequels' legacy character mistake was all the more noticeable on the heels of their brilliant chemistry in the original trilogy, and it also made very little sense from a narrative perspective.
Between running Lucasfilm, an effects company Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), self-financing the future Star Wars installments to retain creative control, and ensuring that The Empire Strikes Back would be made properly, Lucas knew that he wouldn't be able to give the film the attention it needed.

1. The Empire Strikes Back. Empire Strikes Back is widely recognised as the best Star Wars movie of all time for a reason. A New Hope might have introduced fans to the cinematic world of Star Wars but Episode VI built on that universe and took the viewer far, far further.
The reason why Star Wars was released out of order has to do with the way that the original trilogy was conceived and produced. George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, had always envisioned the story as a larger saga, with a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Currently, one of the most expensive Star Wars toys sold is the prototype action figure of Bib Fortuna from the 1983 Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. According to Heritage Auctions, where it was sold, professionals have only ever graded two of these prototypes, making them incredibly rare.
Luke's Jedi Order failed, in part, because he simply repeated the mistakes of old. Even before Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) commanded that Order 66 be executed, the Jedi under Grand Master Yoda were failing because of his strict dogmatic ways, which prohibited emotional attachments.
To summarise: Master Yoda could not warn the other Jedi about Order 66 because he did not know about it until it happened. He knew the Jedi would die, just not how or when the blade would drop.
Eventually, Obi-Wan realized that he didn't belong in the middle of the civil war and he made the decision to return to the Jedi Order and to his master, Qui Gon Jinn. While Jinn was willing to take Kenobi back as his Padawan, Kenobi's exile from the Order led to a feeling of distrust between the two.
Order 69 was one of many orders in a series of contingency orders which the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic were programmed with. Content. This order demanded that all attractive female Jedi were not to be executed, but instead captured and married to the most successful trooper in the capturing unit.
The first film released, Star Wars (1977), is the fourth film chronologically and was later subtitled Episode IV – A New Hope. The saga begins chronologically with Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) and concludes with Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
