Introverted types, especially ISTJ, ISFJ, INTP, and ISFP, are generally less talkative, preferring deep one-on-one connection or quiet reflection over small talk, with ISTJs often being the most reserved, focusing on facts and duty rather than verbal expression. While all introverts conserve energy for meaningful conversation, ISTJs value consistency and efficiency, making them seem distant, while ISFJs are selfless and reserved, INTPs are logical and detached, and ISFPs focus inwardly on experiences.
ISFJ. ISFJ's are quiet, conscientious, and kind. They are responsible in nature and are committed to meeting their obligations. They have a tendency to put the needs of others above their own.
Sanguines tend to be more extroverted and enjoy being part of a crowd. Sanguine personality is typically described as highly talkative, enthusiastic, active, and social.
Judgers (J) More Talkative than Perceivers (P)
Since J types judge rather than perceive outwardly, they generally prefer to talk more than listen. Intuitive Judgers (NJ types), in particular, can launch into lengthy diatribes on all sorts of topics.
INFP. These are caring, quiet children who can get lost because they do not advocate for their needs but do advocate for the needs of others. They can feel the pain of others intensely.
However, as we saw in the previous section, INTPs are one of the types most likely to 4 say they do not want to have children at all. It seems that INTPs are more likely to forego children, but when they do have them, they are more likely to parent full-time.
The MBTI functions and attitudes that most correlate with ADHD are the intuitive (N) function and perceptive (P) attitude. People who score high on these dimensions have more chances of portraying ADHD symptoms.
Overthinking is a big problem for both INFJ personality types and INFP personality types. As a writing coach who specializes in working with both types, I've seen that overthinking is tied to INFJs and INFPs struggling overall with creativity, feeling connected to their intuition, and life in general.
Culp's findings also indicate that boredom proneness is negatively related to Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. Translated to Myers-Briggs lingo, Introverts, Sensors, Thinkers and Perceivers appear to be more boredom prone, which we will further discuss shortly.
INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are two of the MBTI personality types that tend to struggle with unhappiness in life.
Movement types are known for speaking at very fast rates. However, I'd have the say that types with Ne or Se dom most likely speak the fastest. Se dom types talk fast because they're so involved in the moment that they're constantly pointing out the environment around them.
As shown in table 2, the most frequently occurring type for this sample is ENFP (15.2%), followed by INFP (10.5%). The least common types are ESTP (1.2%), ISFP (2.0%), and ESFJ (2.0%).
Which MBTI type has the least friends of all? INs tend to have the least friends of all.
INFP – The Soul-Searching Idealist
So yes. They're introverts. Not because people are scary (though sometimes they are), but because alone time is the only place where they can hear themselves think—and feel—and grieve—and daydream—and recover from the emotional hangover of just existing in a loud, practical world.
Rarest MBTI Types:
Based on this information types such as ( INFPs, INTPs, INFJs, ISFPs, ISFJs, ISTPs, INTJs, ISTJs ) all have a tough time showing their emotions and therefore lead to things such as not smiling as much when it comes to the reality of their situations.
ESFP: Quick to Blow Off Steam
Dynamic ESFPs let their passions and whims rule them, so it isn't too surprising they're reactive when it comes to anger. ESFPs are quick to react to anger and other emotions, even if they regret it later.
The Joker being an ENTP personality type, he possesses certain personality traits that align with this classification. One of the key traits for ENTPs is their dominant Extraverted Intuiting (Ne), which is one of the eight cognitive functions that individuals use to take in information.
MBTI types with introverted, intuitive, and thinking preferences—such as INTJ, INTP, and ISTJ—are often associated with autistic traits. These types often display analytical thinking, deep focus, and preference for structure.
For ENTPs, life is about exploring every possible answer and imagining what could be instead of settling for what is. This personality type really enjoys playing devil's advocate because they genuinely see value in every side of an argument.
ISFP. Easygoing, creative, spontaneous, and modest, ISFPs may be more likely than others to self-medicate with substances. One study compared personality traits among people struggling with addiction. The researchers found ISFP to be one of the most common MBTI types among those who also struggled with a mood disorder.
The individual type most likely to be diagnosed was ISTJ, though this only represented 11% of those with this preference. with OCD than those with an Extraversion preference. Those with Introversion and to some extent Judging preferences were the most likely to see themselves as having OCD.
An early study using the MBTI and teacher typology, conducted by Lawrence (1979), recorded the individual types of 5366 American teachers. He reported that the most frequently “preferred typology” was the Extraverted-Sensing-Feeling-Judging (ESFJ) teacher.
suggests that there are significant differences in procrastination scores among the different MBTI types. As indicated in Table 2, the average procrastination score for the INTP type is the highest, suggesting that individuals with this type exhibit the most pronounced procrastination symptoms.
