There's no single "most powerful" religion, as power can mean different things (followers, wealth, political influence); however, Christianity is the largest by adherents (around 2.3 billion) and Islam is the fastest growing, projected to become the largest, while organizations like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints show immense wealth, demonstrating power in various forms.
Christianity and Islam are the two largest religions in the world, with approximately 2.3 billion and 2 billion adherents, respectively. Both are Abrahamic religions and monotheistic, originating in the Middle East. Christianity developed out of Second Temple Judaism in the 1st century CE.
Pure religion is having the courage to do what is right and let the consequence follow. It is doing the right things for right reasons. To be righteous or serving or loving or obedient to God's laws just to earn praise or recognition is not pure religion.
By Spero Recovery. May 28, 2024. The meaning of a higher power is a spirit or entity that represents strength, purity, and knowledge. In AA, higher power refers to God or a spiritual principle in which members completing the steps can put their faith.
Elon Musk's beliefs have evolved; while previously skeptical, he recently stated he believes "God is the Creator" and the universe came from "something," though he avoids strict religious labels, identifying more as a "cultural Christian" who values Christian principles for boosting happiness and birth rates, rather than subscribing to all traditional doctrines. He acknowledges a higher power but distinguishes this from a judging, moralistic deity, focusing on the creative origin of the cosmos.
Most Catholics (56 percent) believe that God or a higher power “directly determines what happens in their lives all or most of the time,” the report found, whereas 21 percent of Catholics say God “hardly ever/never” determines what happens in their lives.
Jews as the chosen people. The concept of Jews as the chosen people is the belief that the Jewish people, via the Mosaic and Abrahamic covenants, are selected to be in a covenant with God. It is a core element of Judaism, although its meaning has been interpreted in different ways and has varied over time.
There isn't physical evidence that can be used to prove or disprove the existence of God. This means that it wouldn't be scientific to claim that God does or doesn't exist. Whether we believe in God or we don't, our belief is something we have chosen.

In 2030, Muslims will experience a rare "double Ramadan," fasting twice within the Gregorian calendar year (early January and late December) due to the lunar Islamic calendar's shift; demographic trends suggest continued significant growth, with India potentially having the largest Muslim population and substantial increases in Europe and the U.S., while religious practices will focus on increased devotion and reflection during these two holy months.
In Islam, raising the index finger (al-musabbiha) symbolizes Tawhid, the indivisible oneness of God (Allah), signifying "There is no god but God," and is a core part of the Islamic declaration of faith (Shahada) said during prayer (Salah). This gesture asserts monotheism, pointing to the singular nature of God, often used when reciting "Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah" (I bear witness there is none worthy of worship but Allah).
According to a study from 2015, Christians hold the largest amount of wealth (55% of the total world wealth), followed by Muslims (5.8%), Hindus (3.3%), and Jews (1.1%).
By 2050, Christianity is projected to remain the world's largest religion, but Islam is expected to nearly equal it in numbers, with both groups comprising around 30-31% of the global population, driven by higher birth rates in Muslim-majority areas and significant growth in Christian populations, particularly in developing regions, according to Pew Research Center analyses.
Judaism came first, with its origins dating back to Abraham (around 2000 BCE) and Moses (around 1200 BCE), making it the first Abrahamic monotheistic religion; Islam emerged much later, founded by the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century CE, though Muslims believe their faith began with Adam and view figures like Abraham as early prophets. Therefore, Jews existed as a people and religious community centuries before Islam began.
People convert to Islam rather than other religions because of its justice, tolerance, peace, and patience teachings. And Muslim population is predicted to grow more than twice as fast as the overall world population by 2060.
No One Created God
That origin or source is God. He was there at the beginning of all things. But he himself was not made by another being. Consider Paul's words in Colossians 1:17, “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Everything we can see—and all that we cannot—comes from God.
Ok so those words comprise the last words of a book he had completed but wasn't published until after his death. The full quote is “there is no God. No one directs the universe.”
How can we know that God exists?
In the contemporary world, it is common for people who believe in God to affirm that God accepts the worship of all religions as long as the worshiper is sincere. There is no evidence for such a view in Scripture, however. In fact, from Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals the exact opposite.
So why did God choose Israel? There are two basic reasons: God was fulfilling a promise to Abraham. God wanted Israel to serve as a model nation.
In summary, nontheistic religions are religions that do not focus on belief in god(s). We discussed three religions that focus on morals and ethics instead of a deity: Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. These three religions are some of the largest religions in the world, after Christianity and Islam.
Catholics do not believe that it is allowable to break a lawful oath, or tell a lie, or do any other wicked thing whatever for the sake of promoting the supposed interest of the Church, or for any good, however great, likely to arise from it.
Because it reached across kingdoms and cultures, the Church often held more influence than individual kings. Church officials—such as bishops, cardinals, and especially the Pope—were respected as spiritual leaders but also acted as powerful political figures.
The second commandment forbids us using God's name in a disrespectful or hateful way. Like in false oaths or insults. When people say oh my God out of surprise at something shocking, good or bad, it's usually not sinful.
