Many plastic surgeons say that Juvederm and Restylane are the most durable and longest-lasting fillers available. Both contain hyaluronic acid and are good for smoothing wrinkles and lines. Hyaluronic acid carries 1,000 times its weight in water and makes the skin look young, supple, and soft.
Bellafill is the only filler approved to treat acne and the only one shown to last around five years.
JUVÉDERM results can last between 1 – 2 years. Restylane is used to treat the same areas of the face as JUVÉDERM. However, it tends to work well to fill in folds or lines around the nose and cheeks, and the eyes. Restylane fillers typically last 6 – 18 months, depending on the target area.
The effects of the fillers will wear off after months or years, but the treated area is likely to return to its original state. The benefits of both Botox and fillers will be gone and you'll notice that those lines and volume loss will come back.

Juvederm Vs Restylane: Longer Lasting
The jury is out on which of these fillers is longer lasting. The effects from both last for several months, but Juvedermhas 35 percent more hyaluronic acid that has been cross linked.
Restylane® may last anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on the formula and the area of the face. Fillers in more mobile areas like the lips have a thin, flexible texture and do not last as long as more dense fillers such as cheek and wrinkle fillers.
Most of the time, HA based fillers (Juvederm, Restylane ) last anywhere from 6 to 18 months. In some individuals, they last a bit shorter or longer. Some other fillers such as Sculptra can last 2 years, but usually that is not a first choice for lip augmentation.
How long do the results typically last? Just like any other skincare procedure, individual results will vary. “Some dermal fillers can last for 6 to 12 months, while other dermal fillers can last 2 to 5 years,” says Dr. Sapna Palep of Spring Street Dermatology.
Sun exposure speeds up the aging process on the skin and is one of the leading causes of wrinkles. Those UV rays can also cause certain fillers to break down faster and being absorbed by the body more quickly. To get the best results, use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day.
