The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem's Old City is one of the most important sites in Christianity as being the location where Jesus Christ was supposedly crucified as well as where he was buried and then resurrected.
The unveiling was part of a $4 million effort to restore the Edicule, a structure within Jerusalem's Church of the Holy Sepulchre that houses the gravesite. Researchers replaced the slab, which was installed around 1555 to prevent pilgrims from taking souvenirs, after just a few moments.
In 1980, in the Talpiot area of Jerusalem, an ancient tomb was discovered sealed under a building site. The tomb, known in scholarly circles as the Talpiot Tomb, contained 10 ossuaries, boxes for holding the bones of the deceased, deposited there a year after death.

But Jesus is not only fully God and thus omnipresent, Jesus is fully human. Jesus, by being fully human, has a fully human body, and that body, we're told, was ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of God right now in heaven. That is where the universal presence of Jesus is as God. It is omnipresent.

Church of the Nativity
This church in Bethlehem, south of Jerusalem (in the West Bank), was built over a cave known as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. You can go down the steps into the cave, where you will see an altar and a silver star, marking the exact place of the nativity.
Visiting the Tomb of Jesus
During daytime, and especially on Christian holidays, the cue to get into the tomb can take an hour or more. In certain situations, a tour guide might help to avoid the cue, and combine it well in a tour of the Church, and other highlights of Jerusalem's old city.
At death his Spirit went to the Father in heaven, and then returned to be clothed in the resurrection body, in which he appeared to the disciples over a period of 40 days before the ascension. The statement in John 20:17 tells us that the ascension of the resurrected Christ had not yet happened.
