Saying offensive things about God or religion is blasphemy. Blasphemy can be used for offensive ideas in other areas too. If you're saying something bad about a god, or taking the Lord's name in vain, or questioning a religious institution in any way, you could be accused of blasphemy — insulting something sacred.
Spitting on a cross, drawing pictures in the Qur'an, tripping a rabbi — all of these are rude in general, but because they combine a sacred religious person or thing with rude behavior, they're also blasphemous.
Blasphemy, in a religious sense, refers to great disrespect shown to God or to something holy, or to something said or done that shows this kind of disrespect; heresy refers a belief or opinion that does not agree with the official belief or opinion of a particular religion.
ÇMurder, torture and abuse of any human being, but particularly the murder, torture and abuse of children and animals. These are more than unforgivable to me; they are incomprehensible. They violate the most basic dignity of the human person and, as such, deny God in our broken world.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not a careless act committed only once in a moment of rage or rebellion, but a calloused attitude over time; a persistent defiance that hardens and calcifies the heart. The Pharisees had been present when Jesus healed the sick.

The person who repeatedly and without repentance rejects the Holy Spirit's testimony to Christ is the one who has blasphemed the Holy Spirit. That sin is the only sin that never will be forgiven.
Therefore I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."
Rev. Graham: Only one sin that can't be forgiven is on God's list — and that is the sin of rejecting Him and refusing His offer of forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ. This alone is the unforgivable sin, because it means we are saying that the Holy Spirit's witness about Jesus is a lie (see Luke 12:10).
All sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin” (Mark 3:28-29). Notice, there is a positive and a negative in what Jesus says.

In the Bible, Leviticus 24:15–16 calls for the stoning of anyone who curses the God of Israel.
Still, in this earliest Judaic form the idea is straightforward: misusing the name of God was blasphemy and the penalty was stoning to death. The prohibition is stated in more general and familiar terms in the third commandment (Exodus 20.7).
Therefore, blasphemy is not the greatest sin. But contrary to this: A Gloss on Isaiah 18:2 (“To a terrible people ...”) says, “Compared to blasphemy, every sin is less serious.”
You may have felt like your sins are too serious or that you have made the same mistake too many times. But no matter how much we have sinned, we can always repent and be forgiven. Some sins may be easier to correct than others, but Jesus Christ has provided for total forgiveness from all sins. He is eager to forgive.
While there are no federal laws which forbid "religious vilification" or "religious insult" or "hate speech", some states have blasphemy statutes.
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
What's referred to as the “seven deadly sins” are: lust, gluttony, greed, laziness, wrath, envy, and pride.

The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death" (Roman 6:23). But listen: There is only one sin that God cannot forgive -- and that is the sin of refusing to receive His forgiveness. Yes, your sin may be great -- but God's love and mercy are far greater!
Putting all that together, we find that haughty eyes are the kind of eyes that look down at other people, as if the one looking down is “higher up” than others. At the heart of this again is the problem of comparing—we don't just look down, we look down at other people as if they are lower or lesser than we are.
God Is No Longer Holding Men's Sins Against Them
Although unbelievers aren't saved, their sin is forgiven. It's now up to them.
Blasphemy Thoughts: Blasphemy thinkers are those who constantly think that they would be punished for their sins. These people have thoughts arising in them that are against God, their beliefs, and their culture. These give them cause for severe anxiety.
