Even mean girl Kimmy (Clara Wilsey) isn't so bad in the sequel, and she learns lessons of kindness, too (though she does suggest slipping a Nyquil into Jodi's smoothie to sabotage her performance in the musical). Expect a bit of kissing and language ("hell," "damn," "God," "jeez").
Although not explicitly stated at the end of Tall Girl 2, Jack and Jodi's kiss backstage at the school musical suggests the pair have indeed got back together. It is revealed that Jack left his seat vacant at the musical (much to Jodi's initial chagrin) to take better photos of her from the rafters of the stage.
Jodi spends time with co-star Tommy (Jan Luis Castellanos), while Dunkleman hangs out with Stig's sister, Stella (Johanna Liauw). However, all's well that ends well as Jodi and Dunkleman get back together by the end of the movie after the opening of the play.
Netflix has yet to announce plans for Tall Girl 3, but considering the success of the first and second Tall Girl, it seems likely that Netflix will eventually green light a Tall Girl 3.
Plot. Jodi Kreyman is a 16-year-old who has been tall for her age since she was three, which has made her insecure her whole life. Students regularly joke about her height. In contrast, Jodi's older sister Harper is of average height and has won multiple beauty pageants.

However, without COVID being as major of a factor, viewers could potentially see that gap shorten, with Tall Girl 3's potential release date being in 2024, supposing that production begins in 2023.
Jack shows up and reveals he was in the lighting booth taking photos all night (creep). Jack tells Jodi that he loves her and the pair finally reconcile and kiss, meaning everybody lives happily ever after. Well, unless there's a Tall Girl 3 and something else comes along to mess up their relationship.
The characters of Tall Girl 2 are familiar and sweet, the story is predictable and the ending is predictably happy, and there's also some accomplished singing and dancing from the teen cast.
Jodi starts to reconcile with Jack, but when she admits that she kissed someone else, Jack reacts angrily, and they officially break up. He makes a contract with Stig's sister Stella, who is going through her own break-up, and swears to never see her again.
The sequel features a number of twists, including Jodi and Dunkleman's breakup. However, these two lovebirds do find their way back to each other in the end and say all the things they've wanted to say. Ava broke down all things Tall Girl 2 in our EXCLUSIVE interview.
For the first time, Jodi must juggle new love interests, school, and her responsibilities in the play, all while her relationship with her boyfriend, Jack Dunkleman (Griffin Gluck), becomes increasingly strained.
So as I was saying (yawn!), Jodi is too tall to fit in. She falls in love with a Swedish fellow-student played by Luke Eisner, who is okay as long as he doesn't speak or think… you know, eye candy for the girl on the campus, and maybe some boys too. Blessedly there are no token gay characters on this corny campus.
The movie is rated PG but does have some slight language such as da**, suck, and biotch but it's pretty minimal. The characters kiss a few times but nothing more. I think this movie is great for middle schoolers and high schoolers, especially girls.
Stig is a tall, handsome Swedish exchange student who Jodi is instantly smitten over. She even starts to wear her hair down and dresses up for school. However, the drama begins when all the other girls in her grade like Stig as well. Tall Girl is an original Netflix movie appropriate for kids ages 10 and up.

I would recommend Tall Girl 2 for kids ages 10 and up. Younger kids, especially those with older siblings, would also be fine; it's just a question if the material would interest them. Parents should be aware of dating talk and relationships as well as sensitivity towards those who suffer from anxiety in Tall Girl 2.
