Rat and Mice Poison - One part flour or sugar & one part baking soda (do not have to use both sugar and flour, just one or the other mixed with baking soda). Mix together and put out for rodents. Safe if the kids or pets get into it but makes rodents insides bubble up & explode.
Mice don't have the ability to pass gas, so the thought is if they can't burp then the mice will explode after drinking soda. Bizarre, right? And, also, not true. While you might think it is entertaining to try, it's not going to work.
When mice or rats eat the mixture, they lactate and die shortly after that. They can digest baking soda and it does not harm them in small amounts. But mice control is necessary when using poison alongside baking soda. Mice attract other mice to their location before dying.
Grapes/raisins, chocolate, avocado, garlic, onion, rhubarb, coffee, tea, alcohol, and walnuts must not be fed as they are toxic to mice. Lettuce should be avoided as it can cause diarrhoea in mice [4].
So, after ingesting baking soda, this product reacts with the acids in the rat's stomach and creates carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide then builds within the rat and causes a rupture or blockage that eventually kills the rat. This method may work, but there is no guarantee that it will be effective and is not humane.

What liquids will kill mice? Ammonia. This is known as a cleaning agent, but it also acts as a poison to mice and rats. All you need to do is mix 2 – 2 and a half cups of ammonia, 100 – 200 mL of water and a 2-3 spoonful of detergent in a bowl.

Of course, soda isn't exactly considered health food.
If you're lucky enough that your mice take the bait and eat it, the bleach will kill them, but only if they've ingested enough of it. And it won't be immediate; it could take a day or two. If you're dealing with mice and want to try something different, bleach is one way you could go.
While published studies have not been conducted on how rapidly Mountain Dew would dissolve a mouse, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the neon green soda can eat away teeth and bones in a matter of months, and would likely do quite a number on a rodent.
As their name suggests, rodent smoke bombs produce a great deal of smoke. They are not approved for indoor use. The chemicals present in this smoke can prove toxic to humans and house pets. They have to be placed in identified rodent burrows a minimum of six inches.
Rodent bombs work like the other types of pest bombs. They involve the use of poisonous gases set in a sealed environment. The bombs are placed inside or near the areas where the mice are nesting. The noxious fumes they emit kill the rodents.
I highly recommend not using bug bombs or any sort of spray poison in general. Whether it is in your home or in your car, these toxins can be incredibly dangerous to you, your family, and the environment. Wherever possible, avoid using aerosols and spray poisons.

But there is a problem – using bleach to repel or kill mice is unsustainable. First, you need enormous quantities of bleach and have to reapply every few hours to sustain the toxic fumes.

These rodents cannot stand this oil's robust and minty smell, so a few drops around your home can go a long way in keeping them away. You can also use a diffuser to spread the peppermint oil around your home or apply it directly to areas where you've seen mice or rats.
