Ruth is the fake name Nancy chooses when she goes to see Creel and it's highlighted by Steve saying, 'Ruth?
Nancy Wheeler is a fictional character from the Netflix television show Stranger Things, portrayed by American actress Natalia Dyer. She is the sister of Mike Wheeler, the girlfriend of Jonathan Byers, and the ex-girlfriend of Steve Harrington.

Her death is later confirmed in the Season 1 episode, “The Bathtub,” and while we do get some mention of her in Season 2 of Stranger Things, Season 1 is really the last time we ever get a mention of Nancy's former best friend.
Barb was the best friend of Nancy Wheeler. In late 1983, Barb mysteriously vanishes, which leads Nancy and Jonathan Byers to investigate her disappearance. Eventually, it was revealed that she had been killed by the Demogorgon.
Season 4 sees Nancy briefly pair up with newcomer Fred Benson (Logan Riley Bruner) before her storyline quickly converges with the main "Party" after Fred disappears in an eerily quick fashion.
In episode 7, Vecna is revealed to be Henry Creel (played as a youngster by Raphael Luce), the son of Victor Creel (Robert Englund) and his wife Virginia (Tyner Rushing) shown in the 1950s flashbacks.
Wheeler is Vecna's sister are pretty slim. While it's possible on a theoretical level, it would just be a really weird plot twist, even for Stranger Things. However, it's still odd that Mrs. Wheeler was the only side character with a poster.
And while his usual modus operandi is to embody his victims' negative self-talk (another very real psychological phenomenon), this time he is telling Nancy his plans and then releasing her so she can report back to everybody—Eleven included—that the end is nigh, with the goal of discouraging and disempowering them.
1. Is Nancy OK? Yes! Nancy (Natalia Dyer) is fine — at least, as fine as she can be after being traumatized by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and almost strangled to death by his squelchy, squelchy tentacles. Instead of escaping Vecna's Mind Lair by hearing her favorite song, Nancy is actually released by Vecna himself.
The final scene of Volume 1 shows a shot of Vecna, and a close up of the 001 tattoo on his arm, confirming that Henry Creel, a.k.a. Number One, became Vecna.
Barb's death remains collateral damage from monsters like Vecna and the Mind Flayer trying to achieve their ends, but she wasn't singled out for a higher purpose by either villain. Her death was a narrative device to illustrate the danger and cruelty of the Upside Down and the fate of characters who end up there.
She does, however, become sexually attracted to Billy Hargrove, the older brother of Max Mayfield, who reciprocates the feelings. By the summer of 1985, Karen's desire for Billy has hit the ultimate peak, ogling him along with her friends at the local pool, where Billy works as a lifeguard.
Mike Wheeler. Michael "Mike" Wheeler is the son of Karen and Ted Wheeler, younger brother of Nancy and older brother of Holly, and is friends with Lucas, Dustin, and Will. Mike is an intelligent and conscientious student who is committed to Lucas, Dustin, and Will.
Background. Holly was the youngest child of Ted and Karen Wheeler and the younger sister of Mike and Nancy. She was born around 1980.
Steve Harrington
Steve is revealed to be one year older than Jonathan and Nancy, with the character having just graduated from high school in Stranger Things season 3.
Nancy and Jonathan do not break up in Stranger Things season 4 part 1, but we could definitely see it happening in part 2. So far, they haven't spoken to each other at all and they're both pretty preoccupied with everything else going on in their lives.
Next up, the viewers go on to theorise that One/Vecna is actually Eleven's dad. Yep, told you it was wild. The theory claims that Brenner wanted to create a child with stronger powers, so he waited until One was old enough to become a father.
He is portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower as an adult and by Raphael Luce as a child. A fearsome entity aligned with the Upside Down, Vecna had humble origins as the human Henry Creel.
However, either she didn't have a great aim or she was trying to play it safe because she didn't hit him in the face even once, and that may be the reason why Vecna is still alive. Obviously, Nancy was trying to play it safe. She even cut off the muzzle of her shotgun so she could have the best odds.
While intending to get his revenge on Eleven and Brenner, Vecna also goes after victims who have dealt with traumatizing experiences in the past (reminiscent of his childhood and his time at the Hawkins lab).
The theory predicts that Vecna wants to regain his human form, and he will use Will to do so in Season 5. Knowing that Vecna singled out Will in Season 1, it's a reasonable theory, but it might go too far. After all, Vecna already has a human form, and he has vowed to eliminate humanity.
The group believed an entity from the Upside Down - dubbed "Vecna" - was using the killings for some grander purpose. Following Nancy, Steve, Robin and Eddie Munson's brief misadventure in the Upside Down, Vecna psychically revealed his identity to Nancy, and shared his plans for the future.
One of the most important sequences in this episode featured Vecna showing Nancy the real circumstances of the “eyeball murders” in the 1950s, with flashbacks indicating that young Henry Creel murdered his family when his mother tried to get him psychological help and he intentionally framed his father Victor for the ...
The theory is that Karen Wheeler might be Vecna's sister, Alice Creel. As we know, Vecna is actually a man of many names, including 001, Peter Ballard and Henry Creel. We saw Henry and Alice together as children briefly in a flashback and it is believed that Henry killed his sister along with his mother.
