White vinegar is generally preferred over apple cider vinegar for cleaning as it doesn't leave residue, but it needs to be mixed with water or other ingredients for best results.
Wood vinegar kills mites and their eggs by infiltrating them and disrupting life processes because of its higher osmotic pressure. It is highly unlikely they will be able to mutate to avoid this effect.
Dust Mite Treatments
Does vinegar or baking soda kill dust mites? Although baking soda and vinegar can help remove mattress odors, neither can kill dust mites. Baking soda may help absorb moisture from a mattress if you want to sprinkle some on before vacuuming, however.
