Treat everyone in the family with antiparasitic tablets when someone in the family has worms. If you or your child has worms, regularly wash clothes and bed linen in hot soapy water every day for several days after treatment.
Clean the home post-treatment
Worm eggs can survive for several days on external surfaces, but you can play your part in preventing a reinfestation by doing the following: Wash all the bedsheets and linen that family members have been sleeping on with hot water, to kill any remaining eggs.
Side effects of deworming are rare. In some rare cases, children can experience dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting after deworming. This is just the effect of the worm passing through the body. Consult a doctor immediately if these symptoms do not go away even after a day.
For most people, treatment will involve taking a single dose of a medication called mebendazole to kill the worms. If necessary, another dose can be taken after 2 weeks. Riding your horse after worming is another area with no best practice. Some horses are completely fine to be ridden after treatment, while others can require some recovery time. If you want to follow a general rule, you could stick to giving your horse the day off from work to be on the safe side.
Modern dewormers do not require the user to be on an empty stomach before deworming, so users can deworm at any time, but the best time is to drink early in the morning on an empty stomach or drink after dinner about 2 hours .
Treatment to get rid of worms
