The character of Annie has been depicted as a member of different races depending on the adaptation.
In this musical, Annie has traditionally been a Caucasian child; in this film Annie's character is black. I think, especially in today's society it is crucial for families to watch films that incorporate race into character selection.
Leonhart (レオンハート Reonhāto?) is an Eldian who lived in the Liberio Internment Zone and is the adoptive father of Annie Leonhart.
She possessed the ability to transform into a Titan known as the Female Titan. Trained from an early age by her father, she is selected as one of Marley's Warriors. In the year 845, she is sent on a mission to retrieve the Founding Titan, along with fellow Warriors Reiner Braun, Bertolt Hoover, and Marcel Galliard.
Brand is Ryze's student. He wasn't always named Brand. He cannot be Annie's dad.
Leonhart (レオンハート Reonhāto?) is the father and trainer of Annie Leonhart. He relentlessly trained Annie to fight, using mostly kicks and the attacker's weight against them.
We blame Annie for eliminating Levi's squad in the line of duty, and we glorify Floch even though he conspired for the same reason: to eliminate the same squad. In the end… the result is the same: they both participated in the killing of Levi's squad…
After the end of the manga, we learnt that Eren killed 80% of humanity and the 20% of it mostly lived in Paradise Island. What was believed to be a lie at the start, turned out to be a reality in the end.
The Female Titan appeared female regardless of its possessor's biological sex.
Leonhart was born to a beast and a human. After his father passed away due to his wounds, Capel tore him from his mother and returned to Ozmargo with him. His existence was announced to the people simultaneously as the queen's death. The people assumed that, the queen sacrificed her life to "bear" him.
Mikasa is a fairly tall and well-toned woman. She is of partial Asian heritage, with pale skin, gray eyes, and shaggy black hair that was long until she cut it to chin-length. By the year 854, her hair is shorter and cut up to the back of her neck, though she simultaneously wears noticeably longer bangs.
Attack on Titan (Japanese: 進撃の巨人, Hepburn: Shingeki no Kyojin; lit. 'The Advancing Giant') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.
Annie - Previously a redhead curly afro-ed white youth in comics, on Broadway and in the original 1982 film, little orphan Annie is about to get a makeover.
After the loss of Marcel, Annie and Bertolt wanted to cancel the operation but Reiner opted against it as he claimed to know the consequences. This prompted Annie to attack him for his cowardice.
The bloodline is still intact. The Hallucigenia (the source of all Titan powers) isn't even dead — it crawls out of Eren's head after the final fight, still alive. The foundation for the Titan system is still very much in place. The only thing that's changed is that Ymir chose to disable it.
In season two, Eren Yeager and Armin Arlert, among other Survey Corps members, began growing suspicious of two of their comrades, Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover. Reiner and Bertholdt eventually confessed the truth to Eren, admitting they were not just Marleyans undercover, but Titan shifters too.
Approximately 80% of all human life on the planet was ended by the time the Rumbling was stopped prematurely by the combined efforts of the remnants of Paradis Island's Survey Corps and Marley's Warrior Unit.
Ultimately, Eren seems to be the only person he truly cared about, as he feels that they were both victims of their father. Zeke promised to "save" him before, which Pieck would note as the only time she could tell that he was not lying.

Author Hajime Isayama created Eren to be "an ordinary youngster who gets paralyzed with fear" when seeing a titan. As a result, he was not given unit warrior talent in comparison to other members from the series.
Instead of killing him outright, the Female Titan -- Annie -- decides to lift his hood and confirm whether or not he was Eren, as that was her objective. Even after the encounter, the Female Titan decides to not kill Armin.
I think what makes her didn't burst out crying is because she witnessed Eren killed people mercilessly too. She's still in shock. Not to mention that before she beheaded him. She was already crying from the last scene of memory in the path that Eren sent to her.
Eren's true love, widely considered by fans and supported by the creator, is Mikasa Ackerman, though their relationship is portrayed as tragic and complex, evolving from a sibling-like bond to deep, albeit complicated, romantic love that he struggles to acknowledge due to his grand, world-altering plans. He confesses his feelings in the end, but it's within a tragic context, acknowledging he couldn't bear seeing her with anyone else and seeing a future where they lived happily in an alternate reality.
