As a French citizen, your allegiance to France trumps all other aspects of your identity. In fact, it is illegal for the French government to collect information about the racial and ethnic origin of its multicultural population on the national census, though approximately 5 percent of the country is black.
The overall percentage of the Swedish population that is black is less than 1%, although it should be noted that a well-known Swedish politician, Nyamko Sabuni, is black. Although less than 10% of the total UK-born population lived in London, the city was home to one-third of the total foreign-born population in the country. Northern Ireland, the North East, and Wales were the least popular destinations for migrants.

Phrasing. In research, 'people from a Black Caribbean background', 'the Black ethnic group' and 'Black people' were all acceptable phrases. 'Blacks' was not. Similarly 'people from a White British background', 'the White ethnic group' and 'White people' are all acceptable.
Brixton is mainly residential, though includes Brixton Market and a substantial retail sector. It is a multi-ethnic community, with a large percentage of its population of Afro-Caribbean descent. It lies within Inner London and is bordered by Stockwell, Clapham, Streatham, Camberwell, Tulse Hill, Balham and Herne Hill.
Islam is the second-largest religion in the United Kingdom, with results from the 2021 Census recording just under four million Muslims, or 6.0% of the total population in the United Kingdom.
Unlike African Americans, whose history is deeply tied to slavery, Black Britons often trace their heritage to a single African ethnicity. For example, the aforementioned David Oyelowo is simply of Nigerian descent, born of Nigerian Parents who emigrated to Britain from Nigeria. End of story.
The largest increases were seen in the number of people who identified their ethnic group within the “Asian, Asian British or Asian Welsh” category (9.3%, 5.5 million in 2021, up from 7.5%, 4.2 million in 2011) and within “Other ethnic group” (2.1%, 1.3 million people in 2021, up from 1.0%, 564,000 in 2011).
In the 1960s, civil and political unrest in Nigeria contributed to many refugees migrating to Britain, along with skilled workers. Nigerians emigrated in larger numbers in the 1980s, following the collapse of the petroleum boom.

As of the end of 2024, Iran was the largest refugee-hosting country in the world. According to data available by the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR, there were nearly 3.5 million refugees in Iran. Turkey was second with more than 2.9 million.
Asylum support rates are currently set at £49.18 per person per week or £7 a day to cover essential living needs like food, travel, clothing and communications.
White British households hold the most wealth (£282,000), closely followed by Indian groups (£266,000). Pakistani households have under half (£127,000) the wealth of White British households, with Black Caribbean households possessing substantially less.
A 2021 census noted nearly 2 million Indians and 1.5 million Pakistanis live in the UK.
Almost 96 per cent of Black Britons live in England, particularly in England's larger urban areas, with close to 1.2 million living in Greater London. 47.8% of the total Black British population live in London.
In Spanish "moreno" comes from moro("moor") and is the most widespread word to mean someone of brown or black skin in Spain and Spanish speaking Latin America meanwhile on the other side of the planet in the Philippines Moro means muslim believers, both come from the Spanish use of moor.
