"Powers" in angelology refer to a specific choir or rank of angels tasked with upholding divine order, supervising celestial movements, distributing earthly authority, and guarding against evil forces, often depicted as warrior angels in armor. They are protectors against chaos, ensuring the cosmos' structure, and are sometimes seen as the ones who enforce God's will and restrain evil spirits, with roles in history and conscience, though less prominent in popular art than Archangels.

God has commanded angels to guard you. God has given angels, not your circumstance, not your situation, the authority to act on your behalf. God is your refuge and strength. He is your protection and he has commanded angels to come to your aid.

God's Sovereignty, Not Angelic Assignment
Scripture never teaches that every person receives a guardian angel at birth. That idea is more influenced by folklore, Renaissance art, and sentimental tradition than by the inspired Word of God. God's care is personal, constant, and unfailing.
