There isn't one single "most insecure" personality type, as insecurity manifests differently across various systems (MBTI, Enneagram), but Turbulent types (like INFP, INFJ), Enneagram Sixes (The Loyalist), and those with Avoidant or Anxious Attachment styles often show high insecurity due to anxiety, self-doubt, fear of abandonment, or constant need for reassurance. Insecurity often appears in contrasting ways, from hyper-independent defense mechanisms to overt neediness.
Anxious Pre- Occupied, Avoidant, Fearful are insecure personality types. Anxious Pre- Occupied can be the most expressive in their behavior when they feel real or imagined that they are going to be abandoned. The Avoidant type can come across as independent, confident, needing and wanting their space and autonomy.
The Short Answer:
INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judgment) is the most complex Myers-Briggs Personality Type.
INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are two of the MBTI personality types that tend to struggle with unhappiness in life.
Borderline personality disorder. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a pervasive, long-term pattern of significant interpersonal relationship instability, acute fear of abandonment, and intense emotional outbursts.
ESFJ (the caregiver) are very warm, compassionate, and helpful people. They are often willing to go the extra mile for others. Other personality types like ISFJ, INFJ, ENFJ, ENFP, and ISFP are also loyal, kind, and gentle souls, and personalities to have as friends, leaders, and family.
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is associated with an assortment of characteristics that undermine interpersonal functioning. A lack of empathy is often cited as the primary distinguishing feature of NPD.
As shown in table 2, the most frequently occurring type for this sample is ENFP (15.2%), followed by INFP (10.5%). The least common types are ESTP (1.2%), ISFP (2.0%), and ESFJ (2.0%).
A recent review of findings on ADHD and FFM personality suggests that, in general, ADHD has associations with the FFM traits of Neuroticism (positive), Agreeableness (negative) and Conscientiousness (negative).
When a high-conflict person has one of five common personality disorders—borderline, narcissistic, paranoid, antisocial, or histrionic—they can lash out in risky extremes of emotion and aggression. And once an HCP decides to target you, they're hard to shake. But there are ways to protect yourself.
Psychopathy. Psychopathy is considered the most malevolent of the dark triad. Individuals who score high on psychopathy show low levels of empathy and high levels of impulsivity and thrill-seeking.
ISFP. Easygoing, creative, spontaneous, and modest, ISFPs may be more likely than others to self-medicate with substances. One study compared personality traits among people struggling with addiction. The researchers found ISFP to be one of the most common MBTI types among those who also struggled with a mood disorder.
ISFP: ISFP's are more likely to get jealous in romantic relationships than over possessions or skills that others have. They may internalize these emotions, or express them through artistic and creative outlets.
They might reply passive aggressively with a personal blow, and in more extreme cases they might throw a tantrum. Their own attempts at self deprecating humor will always fall flat and make everyone else uncomfortable. The way people present themselves is rarely indicative of insecurity, watch their mannerisms instead.
ISTJ. ISTJ's are quiet and serious, generally interested in a peaceful and secure way of life. They are known for their responsible, dependable, and thorough natures. They are logical, practical, and work steadily towards goals without much distractibility.
For ENTPs, life is about exploring every possible answer and imagining what could be instead of settling for what is. This personality type really enjoys playing devil's advocate because they genuinely see value in every side of an argument.
Assertive Defenders (ISFJ-A) (71%) were the most likely personality type to identify as frugal, while Turbulent Architects (INTJ-T) and Turbulent Logisticians (ISTJ-T) (both 67% agreeing) were not far behind.
Least Sensitive Type: ISTJ
ISTJs prefer to concentrate on material necessities rather than emotions. However, they put a lot of effort into making sure their loved ones are taken care of. Because they lack emotional sensitivity, ISTJs frequently choose to suppress their feelings in order to accomplish their goals.
