The "curse of 1000 years" isn't one single thing but refers to several different legends, prophecies, or fictional concepts, most notably the Biblical Millennium (Satan bound, Christ reigns for 1000 years) and the Croatian King Zvonimir's Curse, a legend where a murdered king cursed his people for 1000 years to never have a native ruler. It also appears in fiction (like Jujutsu Kaisen) and as general historical dread, but Zvonimir's is a famous real-world curse legend.
The Bible speaks of a millennium, a thousand-year period of time where God's people will be dwelling in heaven with Him while Satan and his fallen angels will be bound on earth.
After the millennial reign, the new heaven and earth will arrive. The one thousand years are not literal but signify a long period of time in which the world is transformed by the gospel. Some postmillennialists believe the thousand years begin at an undefined time in history—some point after the resurrection of Jesus.
