While everyone has individual preferences, generally the best fonts to use are sans-serif fonts such as Helvetica, Verdana or comic sans. If you use a serif font many people with autism say they prefer Garamond. Put headings in larger letters, not all in capitals.

Why “Sans” is the Best Font Style for ADHD? Previously, I mentioned a subjective reason: for me (and Dr. K, who is also ADHD), sans fonts are clearer.
Helvetica has been shown to increase comprehension among people with ADHD by reducing visual demands on them. The simpler letterforms create a stronger reading experience overall; this in turn makes reading easier and more pleasant for those who struggle with concentration.

On world autism awareness day, April 2nd, you may see plenty of blue being shown off to support autism awareness. The color blue's association to autism originated with the autism advocacy association known as Autism Speaks. Reimagined to include a spectrum of colors in addition to our traditional blue, the new, more colorful logo signifies the diversity of perspectives and experiences with autism spectrum disorder and signals our deepened commitment to inclusivity.
One of the most common color associations used to represent autism is the rainbow spectrum. Instead of choosing just one color, the range of colors inside the rainbow represents the scope of abilities and diagnoses on the autism spectrum – highlighting the variety of abilities and challenges each faces.

For the past 15 years, Illinois has been rocking purple lights in April to show their support of Autism Awareness Month. The nation's largest autism network, The Autism Project of Illinois (TAP), asks Illinois residents to replace their exterior lightbulb with a purple one.

Dyslexia fonts use thicker lines in parts of letters. The letters are slanted a bit. And letters that have sticks and tails (b, d, and p) vary in length. Some people with dyslexia like this and find it helpful. People without dyslexia might like those features, too.
