Eren Yeager's goal evolved from seeking freedom and revenge to enacting The Rumbling, a plan to destroy the outside world to protect Paradis Island and ensure his friends' long lives, driven by a desire to end the cycle of hatred and fulfill his vision of freedom, even if it meant committing genocide. He sought to flatten the world to create a blank slate where Eldians wouldn't be persecuted, ultimately aiming for peace for his people, though his methods became monstrous.
While he did wish for a peaceful solution, he understood the impossibility of it better than all around him, even Armin. After initiating the Rumbling, Eren had intended for the world to see the Eldians who stopped him as heroes.
After they learn about the outside world, Eren wanted to commit genocide for two reasons. It was either his people or the outside world and Eren chose to protect Paradise and his friends. Eren was disappointed when he learned about the outside world .
I wanted to destroy the world, at any cost." Yes, Eren wanted to save Paradise, and he values his friends above his life, and he wanted to destroy all the Titans. But no normal person would destroy 80% of the world's population if they didn't want to do it deep down, regardless of the purpose.
Finally, Zeke tells Eren of his plan to euthanize the Eldian race and asks him if he will support it by using the powers of the Founding Titan to render all Eldians sterile. After a moment, Zeke is relieved to hear Eren agreeing to help, sharing his belief that Grisha's strategy was a mistake.
Eren's true love, widely considered by fans and supported by the creator, is Mikasa Ackerman, though their relationship is portrayed as tragic and complex, evolving from a sibling-like bond to deep, albeit complicated, romantic love that he struggles to acknowledge due to his grand, world-altering plans. He confesses his feelings in the end, but it's within a tragic context, acknowledging he couldn't bear seeing her with anyone else and seeing a future where they lived happily in an alternate reality.
After the end of the manga, we learnt that Eren killed 80% of humanity and the 20% of it mostly lived in Paradise Island. What was believed to be a lie at the start, turned out to be a reality in the end.
Zeke Yeager, otherwise known as the Beast Titan or just The Beast, is the main antagonist of the Attack on Titan franchise. He is the son of Grisha Yeager and Dina Fritz, who had him join the Marleyan military for their own agenda.
Eren Yeager began attacking people in his base form due to a profound shift in his worldview after learning the truth about the Titans. His feelings of revenge intensified, especially after Zeke Yeager's betrayal. Eren's 'Coordinate' powers, which allowed him to control other Titans, also played a role.
In season two, Eren Yeager and Armin Arlert, among other Survey Corps members, began growing suspicious of two of their comrades, Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover. Reiner and Bertholdt eventually confessed the truth to Eren, admitting they were not just Marleyans undercover, but Titan shifters too.
Witnessing his mother's death was traumatic enough, but seeing countless allies die in front of him was a major factor in Eren's fall to the dark side. Several of his friends died when the Titans invaded Trost, including Marco Bott, Thomas Wagner, and Mina Carolina.
Kiyomi divulges the details of this plan: to display the destructive potential of the Earth-shaking, to spend 50 years modernizing Paradis, and to have Historia succeed Zeke as the Beast Titan, bearing as many royal-blooded children as possible. Eren disagrees with the plan, although Historia reluctantly accepts.
“Because I was born into this world .” He says it more than once in the series and it also captures Eren's nature as well as his motivation to keep moving forward no matter what.
Why did Annie try to kidnap Eren? Secondly since he was the attack Titan there was a high chance he also had the founding Titan in him. Excluding this the reason she kidnapped him was to bring him back to Marley to have a warrior from there eat eren.
The Cart Titan is in no way a weak link, but it can be considered the weakest of the Nine. Held by Pieck Finger for the run of the show, the Cart isn't built for direct combat or known for its overpowering strength.
🥀 The most loyal character to Eren Yeager was Floch Forster. 🔥 He was not just a soldier, but the very embodiment of blind faith. 🥀 Floch stood by Eren as a Yeagerist until his very last breath. 😔 Betting his life, through blood and fire, he protected the dream that Eren had chosen for the world.
Obviously he wanted to save his friends and paarados and all that but it's clear his real motivation was to just make the world a blank slate. What was his real reasoning? Eren stops at 80%, he says he did it so the alliance could be seen as Heros.
Immunity to the Founding Titan
The Ackermans are former Subjects of Ymir and could manifest within Paths; however, they were immune to the Founding Titan's ability to alter memories. This led Kenny's grandfather to speculate that they were not Subjects of Ymir as the majority race within the Walls were affected.
In the manga, Eren didn't know why he destroyed humanity at all. He just knew he had to, because he got the memories from the manga. It turns out he was a slave to himself. In the manga, he just wanted to destroy people. He just wanted no people across the ocean.
He planned to free the world from its fear of the Titans and the Eldians from their suffering by using the Founding Titan's abilities to sterilize all Subjects of Ymir, thus leading to their eventual extinction within 100 years.
The bloodline is still intact. The Hallucigenia (the source of all Titan powers) isn't even dead — it crawls out of Eren's head after the final fight, still alive. The foundation for the Titan system is still very much in place. The only thing that's changed is that Ymir chose to disable it.
Mikasa kissed Eren at the end of Attack on Titan as a heartfelt goodbye. It symbolized her love and gratitude for him. She had to make a difficult choice to stop his destructive goals and save the world, expressing her love in a bittersweet farewell afterward.
Approximately 80% of all human life on the planet was ended by the time the Rumbling was stopped prematurely by the combined efforts of the remnants of Paradis Island's Survey Corps and Marley's Warrior Unit.
