C: This content is purely for children under 14 years of age, but over the preschool age. Each 30 minute broadcast of a C-classified program may not contain more than seven minutes of appropriate advertising.
C and P classifications are used for programs that are made specifically for children. The C classification is given to programs for children (other than preschool children) who are younger than 14 years of age.
TV audience measurement
OzTAM TV ratings are audience estimates that are based on actual viewing behaviour of 5,250 homes in Australian metro cities. The homes provide a representative sample of the Australian population and when the TV in these homes is switched on, the meter lights up and asks who is watching.
Restricted (R 18+)
R 18+ material is restricted to adults as it contains content that is considered high in impact for viewers. This includes content that may be offensive to sections of the adult community.
Rated M: Suggested for mature audiences - Parental discretion advised. Rated R: Restricted – Persons under 16 not admitted, unless accompanied by parent or adult guardian.
The ESRB E (Everyone) rating indicates the content of a game or app is generally suitable for all ages, and may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, or infrequent use of mild language.
They basically don't exist, except for Pixar movies. Why did the MPAA allow this to happen? In truth, the American Motion Picture Association's rating system encourages movie to be more “adult.” American movies basically have two ratings, PG-13 and R, with PG used for children's movies.
MPAA has five rating categories
The new ratings system began with four categories: G (general audiences), M (mature audiences, changed in 1969 to PG, parental guidance suggested), R (restricted, no children under 17 allowed without parents or adult guardians), and X (no one under 17 admitted).
The rating of a program is a fraction of the HUT. It is calculated as RTG = HUT × SHARE where HUT (or PUT when measuring demos) is Homes Using Television and SHARE is the percentage of TV sets in use which are tuned to a particular show.
OzTAM manages and markets comprehensive television viewing data, spanning broadcast TV, online-delivered broadcaster content (BVOD), and all-screen Total TV. OzTAM ratings are the accepted metric by which Australian television performance is evaluated.
The television viewing habits of a sample of households are tracked to estimate total viewers of network programs. The Nielsen Company tracks what shows viewers watch on television networks through a representative sampling of about 25,000 households that let the company record what programs they watch.
A higher C rated battery in the vast majority of setups will be best suited. Not only does a higher C rating provide better performance but it also provides higher reliability for ESC's.
Letter Grades. A+, A, A- indicates excellent performance. B+, B, B- indicates good performance. C+, C, C- indicates satisfactory performance. D+, D, D- indicates less than satisfactory performance.
You can use the capacity of the battery and the c-rating of the battery to calculate how many amps it can constantly discharge until it's empty. For example, if you take a 100Ah battery and divide it by it's c-rating, C10, you get 10A or 10amps.
This program contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. Parents are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended.
Why is Frozen rated PG? Frozen is rated PG by the MPAA for some action and mild rude humor. Violence: The short film preceding this movie features frequent cartoon violence such as mean-spirited bullying, pitchforks and other common objects used as weapons.
M-rated films and computer games are not recommended for children under the age of 15. They include portrayals of elements such as violence and themes that require a mature outlook. However, children under the age of 15 may legally access this material as the classification rating is an advisory category.
K+: Some content may not be suitable for young children, usually those below nine years of age. There may be minor violence without serious injury, mild suggestive material, or minor coarse language that is justified by context. Equivalent to PG.
The NC-17 rating is the highest rating (even higher than the R-rating) that a film can be given, and it means the movie is for adults only (ages 18 and older) and no one age 17 or younger will be admitted.
Content with an M rating is suitable for mature audiences. It's also always a good idea to read the content warning.
TV-MA Mature Audience Only This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17.
TV-MA - these programs are intended to be viewed by mature, adult audiences and may be unsuitable for children under 17.
TV-Y7 indicates that programming is designed for chil- dren ages 7 and older. An additional rating, TV-Y7-FV, is used to indicate that a program contains “fantasy violence” that may be more intense or combative than other TV-Y7 programs.
