A re'em, also reëm (Hebrew: רְאֵם), is an animal mentioned nine times in the Hebrew Bible. It has been translated as "unicorn" in the King James Version, and in some Christian Bible translations as "oryx" (which was accepted as the referent in Modern Hebrew), "wild ox", "wild bull", "buffalo" or "rhinoceros".
In Christian thought, the unicorn represents the incarnation of Christ, a symbol of purity and grace that could be captured only by a virgin.
Because in most cases the Bible is affirming the existence of real animals, the answer is no. It is only the work of later translators, not the Bible's original authors, that refers to unicorns or dragons. This is especially prevalent in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.
Isaiah 34:7
And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
Proverbs 5:18b says “…and rejoice with the wife of your youth.” Verse 19b says, “… Let her breast satisfy you at all times.” This scripture does not say that it is the breasts of only a young girl that gives a man satisfaction.

The King James Version of the Book of Job followed the Septuagint and Jerome's Vulgate in the translation of re'em into unicorn: Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
It's true – unicorns DO exist, they're just not quite the elegant, white ponies you imagined… A ground-breaking fossil discovery could prove that the extinct 'Siberian unicorn' lived much later than previously thought – walking the Earth with humans.
Since it first named the one-horned equine of lore around the 1200s, the word unicorn has gone on to name “a person or thing that is rare and highly valued,” whether that's a billion-dollar startup—or that special someone in your life.
There are later descriptions of creatures in the Bible that could be referring to dinosaurs. One example is the behemoth of Job 40:15-19. Even in fairly modern history there are reports of creatures which seem to fit the description of dinosaurs.
The first written evidence we have for unicorns appears in ancient Greece, not (as you might expect) in writings of mythology but in 'natural history' writings, once again on the ancient Near East. The earliest accounts come from the writer Ctesias in the 4th century BCE.
It may come as a shock, but actually unicorns don't exist. However, there is a real animal which isn't much different, and which faces very real, serious threats.

The unicorn might not be very old at all, and might have still been kicking until 39,000 years ago. This places its extinction “firmly within the late Quaternary extinction event”, between 50,000 and four thousand years ago, in which nearly half of Eurasian mammalian megafauna died out.
No one has proven the existence of a unicorns. Scientists would say that unicorns are not real and that they are part of mythology. "Cultures all around the world do have stories of unicorns from China, to India, to Africa, the Middle East and now the United States," Adam Gidwitz says.
