A Stage 3 hemorrhoid is an internal hemorrhoid that prolapses (bulges) out of the anus during straining (like during a bowel movement) but doesn't go back in on its own; it requires you to manually push it back inside with your finger, often feeling like a soft lump hanging from the anus, and can be painful and risk complications like infection or tissue damage.
