Fill up on forbidden foods If she is struggling to find her appetite, you may be allowed to tempt her with baby food, deli meats, and other tasty foods as long as they won't upset her stomach. As a last meal, many pets enjoy desserts, French fries, hamburgers, or other delights they normally can only drool over.
Offer your cat's favorite treats and nibbles, if they still have an appetite, to make their last day memorable. It can be chewy biscuits or fish-flavored dental treats. Don't worry about dietary restrictions during their last days. Let your cat eat what they want and spoil them with a delicious treat.
Cats can survive for about two weeks without eating but only three days without drinking. The longer your cat goes without proper nutrition, however, the weaker they become, so it's important to contact your vet if you suspect they haven't eaten in a day or more.

They will only feel a needle prick, but some felines may be more sensitive to this than others. If your vet injects the euthanasia drug directly from a needle and syringe, again they may react slightly to the needle prick but will not experience any pain when the drug is being injected.
How long can cats be left alone? Most felines will be perfectly content being left alone for up to 8 hours while you're at work. As long as fresh water is available, some cats can be left alone for up to 24 hours.
On the other end of the spectrum, if your cat is drinking more water than usual in combination with not eating, this could be a symptom of a health problem such as diabetes or kidney disease. It's important you talk to your vet if this is happening to your pet.

Quality of life (QoL) for a cat refers to the state of a cat's life (as we imagine it perceives it) at any given time. This is a balance between the cat's positive and negative experiences. A cat with a good quality of life would experience many positive experiences and have few negative experiences.

Position your cat's sleeping spots away from any noisy appliances (such as washing machines) and busy areas of the home (such as the hallway). A quiet corner of a bedroom or living room is ideal, and once your cat is snoozing, make sure you leave them alone to avoid startling them awake.
