1 Millennials are defined as persons born between 1981 and 1997. In some parts of the report, special focus is given to younger millennials, ages 18-24, and older millennials, ages 25-34, as these groups represent different stages of the young adult cycle.

25-30 years (Young Adult)
middle age, period of human adulthood that immediately precedes the onset of old age. Though the age period that defines middle age is somewhat arbitrary, differing greatly from person to person, it is generally defined as being between the ages of 40 and 60.
The Birth Years of the Silent Generation
An often-used range, however, is 1928–1945. These years span from the beginning of the Great Depression to the end of World War II. People born during this time are also sometimes called “Radio Babies” or “Traditionalists.”
The stages of adulthood examined here include: Early Adulthood (ages 22--34). Early Middle Age (ages 35--44), Late Middle Age (ages 45--64), and Late Adulthood (ages 65 and older).
Gen Y: Gen Y, or Millennials, were born between 1981 and 1994/6. They are currently between 25 and 40 years old (72.1 million in the U.S.)
Anyone born between 1981 and 1996 (ages 23 to 38 in 2019) is considered a Millennial, and anyone born from 1997 onward is part of a new generation.
Young Adulthood (Ages 20–40)
A human being's age can be categorized into four types: Chronological age, Appearance age, Biological age, and Mental age.
Quadragenarian: Someone in his or her forties. Quinquagenarian: Someone in his or her fifties. Sexagenarian: Someone in his or her sixties. Septuagenarian: Someone in his or her seventies. Octogenarian: Someone in his or her eighties.
A Millennial is anyone born between 1980 and 1995. In the U.S., there are roughly 80 million Millennials. A member of Gen Z is anyone born between 1996 and the early-mid 2000s (end date can vary depending on source). In the U.S., there are approximately 90 million members of Gen Z, or “Gen Zers.”
Encyclopædia Britannica defines millennials as "the term used to describe a person born between 1981 and 1996, though different sources can vary by a year or two." Australia's McCrindle Research uses 1980–1994 as Generation Y (millennial) birth years.
If you just want the basics, the millennial age range is roughly 27-42 today. Yes, these aren't kids - they are adults with the oldest ones having turned 42. Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996.
