He was a Gryffindor Hagrid's Hogwarts house is never mentioned in the books, but, given his kindness, noble nature and bravery, it might not come as that much of a surprise that Hagrid was in Gryffindor.
Albus Dumbledore:
Tall, thin and very old, he has blue eyes, a crooked nose and a long silver beard. He wears half-moon spectacles and a long purple cloak. He has a scar on his left knee which is a perfect map of the London Underground. As a schoolboy, he was in Gryffindor house.
As an unqualified wizard who didn't finish his education, Hagrid was not technically allowed to perform magic.

She was sorted into Slytherin House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and hated her time at the school due to never being given any positions of power. After her time at Hogwarts, Umbridge rose to prominent and influential positions in the Ministry of Magic in the Improper Use of Magic Office.
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. She had no friends, and was bullied relentlessly because of her glasses and acne. But she would soon have all of eternity to get her own back.
Dumbledore has kept Hagrid working and living at Hogwarts ever since he was expelled from the school after being set up by Voldemort, which makes Hagrid grateful and loyal to Dumbledore.
Throughout his many years at Hogwarts, Harry faces numerous obstacles and perilous adventures besides his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Ronald, better known as Ron Weasley, instantly bonds with Harry at the start of their Hogwarts career.
Fleamont Potter died of dragon pox and his fortune was left to his son, James Potter. From there, the family fortune was bequeathed to Harry, after James and Lily Potter were killed.
Because Hagrid is a crossbreed of a human and giant (half-giant), much like Lupin is a crossbreed of a human and a magical wolf (a werewolf). Some (not all) pureblood Slytherins in the books hated such individuals because in their eyes, they were “polluting” the wizarding world.
Considered by many the first wizard ever, Merlin is both a Harry Pottercharacter, albeit one the fans didn't get to see in the series, and the first mythological sorcerer of all time.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
Lily Potter
Of course, perhaps her greatest display of love and kindness comes when she protects Harry from Voldemort.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione are thought to have a very close friendship, but their school years were much more turbulent than most think. It is well known by now that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are the ultimate friendship goals in Harry Potter.
It is revealed during the series that Hagrid attended Hogwarts while Tom Riddle was also a student at the school, and that Hagrid was expelled during his third year (because Riddle, in his pre-Lord Voldemort days, framed him for opening the Chamber of Secrets).
Harry watched Hagrid getting redder and redder in the face as he called for more wine, finally kissing Professor McGonagall on the cheek, who, to Harry's amazement, giggled and blushed, her top hat lop-sided.
He gets caught up in a swarm of spiders retreating to the Forbidden Forest, which must be where the Death Eaters grab him. Capturing him so he'll be there to carry Harry Potter's dead body back to the castle — that's some planning!
But what makes him a Gryffindor? Funnily enough, Harry Potter himself provides us with an answer. It's possible to influence the Sorting Hat with your own wishes and desires. This is the key reason Peter Pettigrew became a Gryffindor.
Myrtle's life was cut shockingly short when she was killed by the Basilisk at Tom Riddle's command.
After all, it was by mixing his wizarding and Muggle names that he created his new moniker: 'Tom Marvolo Riddle', becoming 'I am Lord Voldemort'.
