Blocked text messages disappear When someone that you've
Android phones move all blocked messages into a folder on the phone called “Spam and Blocked.” That means that the phone is still collecting messages from the blocked people; they just aren't notifying you.
The only way to see a call history from a blocked number is to unblock the number. They will be added to your regular call list, and you will be able to see any missed calls you receive from the number. However, they will be able to contact you again. Consider if it's worth your privacy.
If an Android user has blocked you, Lavelle says, “your text messages will go through as usual; they just won't be delivered to the Android user.” It's the same as an iPhone, but without the “delivered” notification (or lack thereof) to clue you in.
Blocked messages will not come through when unblocked.
While someone is blocked, any sent text messages will be blocked by Messages. You won't be able to retrieve them.
When you call a number that has blocked yours, you may hear one or half a ring or no rings at all and then the call will go to voicemail. If it goes straight to voicemail, their phone may also be off or out of range, or they may have temporarily turned on Do Not Disturb mode to work, drive, or sleep.
Receiving unwanted messages and texts from a blocked contact means that you have not properly blocked them. If you're still getting iMessages from a blocked contact, that means that you have only blocked their number and received messages from their Apple ID instead.
Block a number
Open your Phone app . Call history . Tap a call from the number you want to block. Tap Block / report spam.
In a word, there is no way to retrieve blocked messages from iPhone. If you don't want to miss some messages, you don't have to block them. If you just don't want to see someone's texts for a while, you can ignore them.
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won't get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't get a notification that the call or message was blocked.
So the person who was blocked won't know they're blocked when they try to call you. On their end, they'll hear the phone ring a few times. Then, their call will go straight to voicemail.
When you block a number on your Android phone, your phone won't ring when the person calls you, but the caller can still leave voicemails. The only way to prevent callers from leaving voicemails is to use an app that labels blocked numbers as spam.
People aren't notified when you block them. After you block someone, their likes and comments will be removed from your photos and videos. Unblocking someone won't restore their previous likes and comments.
If you send a message as a regular SMS in the green text bubble and you do not get a “Delivered” notification but instead get a notification similar to “Message not Delivered” or no message at all, that means you were probably blocked.
Blocking Someone on Android Messages and Apple iMessage
When you block a contact over Android or iPhone, they will still be able to send you text messages. These messages will not show up on your phone but the sender will see the messages as sent. They won't know that they've been blocked.
Private numbers, blocked, and restricted calls can usually be traced. However, unknown, unavailable or out of area calls are not traceable because they don't contain the data needed for a successful trace.
For Android, go to Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings > Caller ID. Then, select Hide Number. Your calls will remain anonymous and you can bypass the blocked list.
A red flag that you've been blocked is when you don't see the delivery status or the read receipt at all. The message you just sent will still be in a blue bubble, but it will have no delivery status below it – not even a "Not Delivered."
If you have confirmation that someone has blocked your contact on their phone, there's no way to unblock yourself remotely using any of your devices. To unblock your number, you need to either have physical access to the person's phone or talk the situation through with them and have them reverse the action.
If you've been blocked, the recipient will not receive a notification and won't be able to respond. If you don't receive a returned call or text message within a few days, there's a good chance you may be blocked.
Blocking people who you know who have negatively impacted you, like through bullying, toxic friendships, and constant harassment and contact, can also help improve your well-being. Blocking can be tricky though, especially when it comes to people you know.
Blocked phone calls go straight to voicemail
When someone you've blocked calls you, they'll be sent right to your voicemail, as if your phone was turned off. This is their only clue that you blocked them. The blocked caller can still leave a voicemail, but it won't show up with your regular messages.
Your old messages remain blue, but the latest texts you send after they've blocked you turn green. However, the bubble colors aren't accurate clues. They could mean the recipient turned off their phone, gone offline, or switched from iOS to Android.
