Pork and pork products are strictly prohibited in Dubai due to religious reasons. Muslims do not consume pork, and Dubai, a Muslim-majority country, prohibits importing and consuming pork and pork products. This includes bacon, ham, and pork sausages. Violating this regulation can result in fines and imprisonment.
While travelling to Dubai, you can carry AED and other currencies up to the limit of $3000. The general limit for an individual under Liberalised Remittance plan for Resident Individuals is $2,50,000 per financial year.

Also known as khus khus, poppy seeds form a popular spice in routine use in Indian cooking, but the seeds are banned in the UAE and several Arabian Gulf countries. A UAE Government website advises visitors against carrying anything that has poppy seeds in it.

You can carry cakes, fruit, vegetables, sandwiches and all solid foods in your hand baggage. However, foods in sauces or with a high liquid content (such as sauces, pastes, soups and stews) cannot come through security. The size of container must not exceed 100ml, regardless of the amount contained inside.

Do not pack you portable charger (power pack) in hold luggage: Taking your portable phone charger (power pack) on a plane is fine, but just remember to pack it in your hand luggage. Do not put them in your hold luggage as this is not permitted and could result in your luggage not being loaded.
