In addition to being an exceptional fighter, Levi's intelligence is overlooked by the viewers mainly because he does not manipulate people or come up with elaborate plans, however, Levi has street smarts to deal with most of the situations.
However, his friends died without him. Levi lost a lot of people in his life, but not knowing what would have happened if things turned out differently, he kept looking forward and had no regrets.
