When your throat chakra is blocked you get thyroid issues, are timid, unclear and under-confident. However, when this chakra is too open it reflects in verbal aggression, gossiping; basically negative communication.
The thyroid represents the essential aspect of a human being. It is through our throat that we express our inner most strength of will, ability to follow our dreams and to share out inner most desires of the heart.
Imbalance or blockages in the throat chakra happen when we experience challenges around communication. These can come from opposite sides of the communication spectrum. For example, a blocked throat chakra may occur if you're feeling too nervous to speak.

Physical Body: The throat chakra is situated in the centre of the neck at the height of the thyroid gland which regulates processing of energy in the body through temperature, growth and metabolism. It is also linked to the mouth, jaws, tongue, pharynx, palate, shoulders and neck.
Solar Plexus Chakra
It is connected to the digestive system and the adrenal glands. This chakra regulates our fears, sense of power, and gut feelings. When this chakra is out of balance we experience fears, eating disorders, anxiety, and loss of control.
The two major causes of thyroid disorders are nutrient deficiency and autoimmune disease. Iodine is a crucial nutrient for thyroid function. Thyroid hormone is rich in iodine, and deficiency of iodine can cause both hypothyroidism and goiter (a swelling of the thyroid gland) (5).
An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) makes you sweat more, feel hot, lose weight, or makes your heart beat faster. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) does the opposite. You might feel cold, gain weight, and get a slower heartbeat. But there are other less obvious signs that you need to learn about.
The pituitary gland “tells” the thyroid gland whether to release more or less hormones into the bloodstream. Also, a certain amount of thyroid hormones are attached to transport proteins in the blood. If the body needs more hormones, T3 and T4 can be released from the proteins in the blood and do their job.
Hypothyroidism is the most common thyroid issue. It happens when the thyroid, that butterfly-shaped gland at the base of your neck just below your Adam's Apple, stops producing enough hormones to keep all of those chemical reactions in your body in check. The result is a domino of unpleasant and life-altering symptoms.
When your throat chakra is open and balanced, you will find that you are not only able to speak fearlessly and with compassion, but you will also be open to listening to and hearing others. Being able to talk openly and honestly—but with care and concern for others—is a gift to all your relationships.

The Vishuddha Chakra is located at the throat, and it is associated and closely connected with the thyroid gland. You might be familiar with the fact that the thyroid gland affects mental and physical development and regulates metabolism.
