70-proof simply means 35% ABV. It is most common for flavored spirits and some higher-proof liqueurs. 70 proof is on the lower end of the scale since proof only measured hard alcohol.

Tasting Notes. Color: The dark-brown cola color, with a ruby hue virtually opaque both in the bottle and the glass, is due to a healthy amount of caramel coloring added after distillation and done to represent the black ink spewed by the mythical Kraken sea monster.
To defeat the Kraken, enough tentacles must be destroyed depending on ship type, with larger ships requiring more damage to destroy a tentacle and more tentacles destroyed to complete the event. If the crew can survive long enough the Kraken will also retreat.

Method: Squeeze a couple of slices of lime into a glass and throw the entire slices in too. Add a few fresh mint leaves and muddle it all together. Add your sugar and mix that in too, then fill the glass with ice. Next, add your rum, top with soda water and bada-bing, bada-boom, you're done.
Fill a glass with crushed ice. If you don't have crushed ice, find ice, and then crush it. Add Kraken® Black Spiced Rum, triple sec to glass. Top with orange juice and splash your choice of lemon-lime soda on top.
Simply add Kraken® Black Roast Rum to shaker tin with ice, shake well and strain into a shot glass. Optionally add a dash of half-and-half or coconut milk.
