The age group with the highest rates of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) is generally young people, particularly those aged 15-29 years, with high rates also seen in the 20-34 range, as they account for the majority of diagnoses for common STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhea, though rates are rising in older adults too. This disproportionate burden stems from factors like less consistent condom use, less frequent testing, and often asymptomatic infections.
