Ares was most notably referred to as the God of War; he represented the unpleasant aspects of battle. He was the son of Zeus and Hera, both of whom hated him (according to Homer). He was most often characterized as a coward in spite of his connection to war; he responded to even the slightest injury with outrage.
Ares was the Greek god of war. He was perhaps the most unpopular of all the Olympian gods because of his quick temper, aggressiveness, and unquenchable thirst for conflict. Ares famously seduced Aphrodite, unsuccessfully fought with Hercules, and enraged Poseidon by killing his son Halirrhothios.
His insatiable thirst for violence and bloodshed made him feared by mortal beings and despised by his fellow deities. Zeus, his father, wasn't particularly fond of him either.
Symbol or Attribute: The spear. He is also associated with vultures and dogs. Strengths:Decisive, determined, fearless. Weaknesses: Impulsive, bloodthirsty, raring for a fight regardless of the consequences.
Ares was the god of war who presided over battlefields and armies. He was also in a sense the god of peace, in that if placated, he would keep away war.
Ares also fled in fear of the giant Typhon when the monster first attacked Olympus, though most other Olympians (other than Zeus) did as well. Even though Ares was the god of war, some say he disturbed the gods with his loud bellows when he lost.
Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Son of Zeus and Hera, Ares was reckless, bloodthirsty and brutal, representing all the worst and most terrifying aspects of battle. Understandably, this made him pretty unpopular, and even Zeus, Ares's father, would have banished him to the pits of Tartarus if he weren't his own flesh and blood.
Athena is the single most prevalent foe of Ares, the two were the ultimate symbol of war, two siblings with the same station but who were so different they were always ready to fight one another.

Ares is the anti-villainous/anti-heroic Greek God of War and an enemy of the Marvel superhero Thor, as well as an occasional hero serving alongside the Avengers and Dark Avengers. He is also one of the three arch-enemies of his brother Hercules (alongside Hera and Pluto).
In Greek mythology, nobody could kill Ares because he was immortal. However, in various computer games and comics, he was killed by various characters, including Wonder Woman. However, Ares was humiliated and beaten quite a few times, especially when he had an adulterous affair with the goddess Aphrodite.
Ares is the weakest Olympian.
His personality is arrogant and prideful. Ares is highly confident of his own strength and looks down on humans for their perceived weaknesses.
Ares was usually selfish and cruel, but he would rise up to defend his mother, Hera, from Zeus and the other gods. In one tradition, for example, it was Ares who forced Hephaestus to free Hera after he had bound her in a magical chair.
It is said that the boar which killed Adonis was no ordinary beast but the god Ares, who was one of Aphrodite's many lovers. Jealous of her passion for Adonis, Ares, disguised himself in the form of a boar and attacked the young man.
Ares' best friend, Eris, was known as the spirit of disagreement. When they traveled together, they caused a lot of trouble!

In the mythos there are no mentions of Ares attacking unprovoked. Each of Ares' duels are the result of attacks on his family, or in the heat of a declared battle. The rape of his daughter, the revenge killing of her rapist and his acquittal at the Areopagus is one example.
Ares is the Greek god of war. He was one of three children of Olympians Zeus and Hera, making him one of the Twelve Olympians as well. As the god of war, the Greeks viewed Ares as a powerful god who had a quick temper and would display great violence.
Not a chance. Zeus himself is said multiple times to be stronger than the rest of the pantheon combined. Ares himself is total looser.
APHRODITE The goddess of love and beauty had a long love affair with Ares which lasted for the duration of her marriage to Hephaistos and beyond. She bore him four divine sons and a daughter: Eros, Anteros, Deimos, Phobos and Harmonia.
As well as intervening in the lives of mortals, Aphrodite had numerous affairs amongst the gods. She was married to Hephaistos (god of fire and metalworking) but was famously caught sleeping with Ares (god of war).
Diomedes then threw his spear (which was guided by Athena) at Ares, wounding his stomach. The god screamed in a voice of ten thousand men and fled away. This was how Diomedes became the only human to wound two Olympians in a single day.
