There's one fight scene near the end that could be easily skipped. The romance isn't more graphic than most PG-13 movies, and there's no language.

First, it depends on the maturity of the child for Twilight and New Moon. I would say as young as 10 for those kids. Eclipse is still fine for anyone over the age of 12, but Breaking Dawn is for a more young adult audience, like 14-15 in my opinion. But it all has to do with the child's maturity.

A lot of movies do something called "color grading" that gives an entire movie a "look". And the makers of Twilight did this perfectly (you have to admit this, even if you're a hater). The film was color graded with a blue tint. This gave Twilight an other-worldly look.
With newborn vampires, their eyes are naturally a bright red color, almost glowing in the dark. This shockingly bright color is due to the former human's own blood still coursing through their veins. This is why Bella Swan's eyes become this color once she is turned into a vampire.
Bella suffers from a classic case of clinical depression, triggered when Edward leaves her in the woods. "You don't want me anymore?" she repeats in disbelief to herself.
Edward Cullen, then, is the answer to all that, but their relationship is far from a healthy one. It's mostly based on control and fear, with him stalking her under the excuse of "protecting" and "caring about her", and his power over Bella was such that even when he left, she was still controlled by him somehow.

Twilight has a particular fanbase, like those who like mushy films (no offense) might love everything about this franchise. However, no one can deny that it is filled with cringe and clichés. Viewers complain of the relationships being toxic, the characters being stupid, and having an overdramatic plot.
