Yes, Shadow the Hedgehog is chronologically much older than Sonic, created 50 years before the main games by Gerald Robotnik; he was put into stasis, so while he appears physically similar to Sonic (around 15 years old), he has existed for over 50 years, making him chronologically the elder by decades, though he doesn't physically age.
Guys since shadow was made before sonic was even born that means shadow exists in the classic timeline.
By all technicality, Shadow is over 50 years old(and possibly immortal, if like his game counterpart), though he has spent most of that time in isolation.
Shadow is physically 16 years old but is canonically 50+ years old due to him being frozen for 50 years. Which would technically make him older then 50 years old. He's 50, but he looks like he's 20.
In 2024, Shadow has been trapped for 50 years, but unlike many other characters in the Sonic universe who have confirmed ages and birthdays, Shadow's age remains a mystery. Being the ultimate life form designed by Gerald and Black Doom, Shadow is immortal; he doesn't age like the others.
In the current and new, Rouge is 18 years old in Sonic games from the early 2000s; she was originally 17.
Unbeknownst to Knuckles, Rouge has a crush on him, but she would never admit it. She has thus been known to deny having such feelings for him, like in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood where she said he was cute, but not her type.
But the final post-credits scene steals the show. Shadow is revealed to have survived not only the explosion but also reentry from space, falling to Earth without burning up.
Actually black doom is real father of Shadow the hedgehog he was created by black doom dna.
Shadow's eyes were always red from the start, which sometimes looks brown in certain lighting, and the poster made a coloration error in making his eyes seem bright yellow.
As a youngling, Shadow always dreamed about going to earth with his best friend Maria. The two of them were planning to start a new life on earth once Maria was cured of her illness. But following Maria's death, Shadow was taken to earth and forced to live there and make a life all on his own.
Tangle and Whisper from IDW are confirmed outside canon to be lesbian. There's a few scenes with them against a sky coloured like a lesbian flag. Nite the Owl and Don the Rooster from IDW are confirmed to be gay within the comics, mostly in how they care for Sonic together.
Shadow was initially named "Terios" ("reflection of"), referencing his role as Sonic's doppelganger. He was renamed Shadow after another new character, a bat, who became Rouge. Sonic Team tasked Maekawa with developing Shadow, a task he found challenging.
People with ADHD (and often co-occurring autism) connect with Sonic due to his high-speed, stimulating gameplay, vibrant visuals, and clear narratives, which offer satisfying sensory input and focus opportunities, alongside relatable themes of independence, acceptance, and overcoming challenges, providing a sense of empowerment and belonging. The clear, consistent worlds and loyal friendships in Sonic's universe create a comforting environment for those who might struggle with social complexities, while the fast pace matches a need for stimulation, making it a popular franchise.

In Sonic Battle, Rouge would use her charm to tease Tails, even kissing Tails should he lose their bet for the access card, as her reward for winning.
A cute little rabbit that takes her tiny Chao "Cheese" with her wherever she goes, and at just 6 years old, is even younger than Tails. Brought up like a princess, she is a little naive and simple minded at times, often getting herself wrapped up in other people's problems.
