Rey is Han Solo's daughter. But she is not Leia Organa's daughter--and therefore is not a Skywalker.
While on the planet, when someone asked her who she was, Rey responded by saying that she was "Rey Skywalker." Although she wasn't related to them, both Luke and Leia had been mentors to Rey throughout the sequel trilogy.
Rey was born on Hyperkarn in 15 ABY during the rise of the New Republic. Her father, Dathan, was a bioengineered Strand-Cast cloned from the genetic template of Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord who ruled the Galactic Empire as Emperor Palpatine.
Born in 35 ABY during the rise of the First Order, Zayne was the son of Ben Solo and Rey Palpatine. Zayne's mother sought to protect him from Kylo Ren, committed to the dark side and on a conquest during his tenure as Supreme Leader of the First Order.
At first, most fans assumed Rey was the daughter of either Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. And during a 2020 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ridley was asked if she knew about Rey's parentage from the beginning. She replied, "No.

What is the connection between Kylo Ren and Rey? As Kylo Ren himself says in The Rise of Skywalker, he and Rey are bonded not just by their familial legacies (Ren as the grandson of Darth Vader and Rey as the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine) but by their unique connection in the Force.
Ben grabs fertility beads off of her neck through their bond. When Ben brings her back to life he places his hand over her womb. Kathleen at the LA premier said 'they could always being the Skywalkers back' in future movies and Rey is calling herself a Skywalker and possibly pregnant with Skywalker twins.
Ben Solo is the love of Rey's life. Initially unknown to Rey, she forms a dyad in the Force with Ben. The dyad is an unbreakable Force-bond that makes them one in the Force, despite being born as two physically separated individuals.
A kiss of gratitude, acknowledgement of their connection, celebration that they'd found each other at last. But then she drew back, concern on her face. She could feel him growing cold. Ben smiled at her.
But a new tie-in novel, Shadow of the Sith by Adam Christopher, finally fixes this. Rey's parents are none other than Dathan and Miramir. No, that's not a typo. Her dad's name is Dathan, which is at least slightly better than Sheev Palpatine.
Following Palpatine's final defeat and her own resurrection, Rey adopts the name Rey Skywalker to honor her mentors and their family legacy and renounce her lineage. As the last remaining Jedi, she makes it her mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.
Having refounded the Jedi Order and trained several new Jedi including Leia, Luke eventually marries an enemy-turned-ally Mara Jade, and they have a son named Ben, who was voted the 40th top Star Wars character by IGN and the 6th top Star Wars Expanded Universe character by UGO Networks.
After defeating her grandfather, Emperor Palpatine, and ending the Sith threat (at least for now), Rey journeys to Tatooine. There, outside Luke's childhood home, she buries his and Leia's lightsabers, before igniting her own, crafted from the staff we first saw her wield on Jakku.
Following the Sith assassin Ochi's hunt for them, Dathan and his wife stole Ochi's starship, the Bestoon Legacy, to return to Jakku; the threat of discovery compelled Rey's parents to leave her with Unkar Plutt. As reluctant as they were to leave Rey behind, they did so to protect her from Sidious.
A crystal embodies the Jedi as the heart of the lightsaber, and pure kyber has no color until it's bonded to the Force user. This process likely resulted in Rey Skywalker's lightsaber being yellow.
Viewed as a whole, it seems very obvious that Finn had a crush on Rey from the start and this was at least at one point supposed to be a fun little moment where he almost admits that out loud.
Rey is a gender-neutral name deriving from Spanish origins.
So does Finn love Rey? No, not like that. The films and comments made from those involved in making the trilogy have made clear that despite seeming to have some romantic tension between them, there is nothing going on between Rey and Finn.

Once she defeated Palpatine, Rey died and Kylo Ren brought her back through Force healing, at the cost of his own life. Rey kissed Kylo (now Ben as he returned to the light side), but the use of Force healing was too much for him and he died, becoming one with the Force.
This would make Emperor Palpatine the grandfather of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa and the great-grandfather of Ben Solo. This means, ipso facto, that Rey and Ben are cousins, which puts a whole weird spin on the decidedly romantic kiss that Ben gives Rey in his dying moments.
“So Leia Force projects herself as Ben and uses her life force to save Rey. Even going as far as to kiss Rey to convince her it's Ben. It's why when Ben disappeared, so did Leia.”
Rey is Anakin's half sister, and Palpatines relations to Rey through the force. Rey is a genetic experiment/force experiment of immaculate conception orchestrated by palpatine. So Rey is Palpatines daughter or grand daughter, in a metaphorical sense. The same way Anakin is Palpatines son through the force.
The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben Solo was seduced by the dark side of the Force and renamed himself Kylo Ren: leader of the Knights of Ren, champion of the First Order, and apprentice to Supreme Leader Snoke.
