Piccolo became a Super Namekian after his fusion with Nail and pushed his Super Namekian status even further after he was reunified with Kami.

Piccolo actually looked like he would be able to defeat Frieza after fusing with Nail. He was easily beating Frieza, who had already transformed once. Sadly, this advantage didn't last for long. Frieza revealed his third form which not only closed the gap but made him stronger again.
Despite having masculine bodies, voices and behaviors, Namekians are actually genderless and can reproduce asexualy but can reproduce sexually if there are partners. Due to their asexual existence, any and all Namekians can reproduce by spitting out an egg through their mouth.
For a short while, Piccolo was the strongest Z-Fighter as his fusion made him stronger than the Super Saiyans. But Dragon Ball Z loves to move fast and Piccolo was quickly overtaken by the Saiyans after a few sessions inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Piccolo doesn't win every fight he gets into, but he's had some great wins. For a character as popular as Piccolo is, it's surprising how little he actually wins. Often he's used as the enhancement talent, especially during Dragon Ball Z.
In Dragon Ball Heroes, after using the God Class-up, the Namekian avatars take on this form, putting their power on a level similar to the likes of Super Saiyan God avatars. Using the Super God Class-up allows them to further access an unnamed blue-eyed Namekian form.
Piccolo's new form is called Orange Piccolo. Yeah, we know, it's not the most creative name; Piccolo makes the same joke in the movie.

And in my nerd bubble, it's a fact that Piccolo is Black. Piccolo is a character from the anime Dragon Ball Z and isn't even human, let alone Black. But his role in the cartoon was recognizable as one of a handful of fictional-Black-character archetypes.
