Lipstick in your hand luggage As for lipstick, if it's solid, you can put it in your normal make-up bag; but if it's a liquid lipstick, you should put it in the clear bag with all your other liquids.

Powder-like substances greater than 12 oz. / 350 mL must be placed in a separate bin for X-ray screening. They may require additional screening and containers may need to be opened. For your convenience, we encourage you to place non-essential powders greater than 12 oz.
However, when it comes to makeup products (skincare and body care as well) in liquid, cream, gel, and lotion form, they must be in smaller size containers, no more than 3.4 ounces in size. You are allowed to take as many travel-sized products that you can fit into one quart-sized, clear, Ziploc bag.

Liquid or gel food items larger than 3.4 oz are not allowed in carry-on bags and should be placed in your checked bags if possible. Containers larger than 100 millilitres or 100 grams, even if only partially-filled, containing liquids, aerosols or gels will not be allowed through the security screening point. For example, a 200 gram toothpaste tube that is half-full will not be permitted.

Place laptops and large electrical items separately in a tray. Put coins, keys, mobile phones and other small items in your coat or hand baggage. Place your hand baggage and coat into a tray. Place any liquid items (important: see 'Liquids - 100ml rule' above), correctly bagged, into the tray.
