Your Apple ID is the account you use to access iCloud and all other Apple services. When you sign in to a device with your Apple ID, you have access to all the photos, files, and other data you store in iCloud.
There isn't any iCloud password. You sign in to iCloud using an Apple ID. If you only have one Apple ID (the usual situation) you use the same password for everything.
iCloud password is used to sign in to iCloud account on PC/Mac or any iOS device. iCloud password encrypts and protects the data and privacy you sync to iCloud, such as significant personal or family photos, videos, contacts, documents and so on.
View and use account information
Open the iCloud Passwords app and sign in. Click the account you want to view. You can copy the user name, password, website, verification code, or note.
Go to Apple's iForgot page and enter your Apple ID. From there, choose the Security Questions option and answer the questions. If you are correct, you should be able to reset the password. If not, you may have to contact Apple Support or go into an Apple Store.
NOTE: Your password for Gmail is not necessarily the same as your Apple ID unless you set them that way, the accounts are not linked beyond using the same email address.
This is a user preference, and there would be no way for anyone else to know what you set your password as. Your Apple ID account is separate from your Gmail account, even if you are using your Gmail email address as your Apple ID email.
Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services like the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. It includes the email address and password that you use to sign in as well as all the contact, payment, and security details that you use across Apple services.
The email address that is associated with your iCloud account is always the same as the one that is associated with your Apple ID. If you have an @icloud.com address as your Apple ID, you can't change it, but you can add a second email to the account.
Go to iCloud.com, then sign in with your Apple ID. If you're already signed in to your device with your Apple ID and your device has Face ID or Touch ID, you can use it to sign in to iCloud.com.
Open Settings and tap your name from the top. Just below your name and profile picture, you will see an email. This is your Apple ID.
Once you change the password and opt to sign out other equipment, or when other devices connect and determine the credential pairing (username and password) have changed, those Apple Watches, Apple TVs, iPhones, iPads and Macs associated with your account lose functionality.
Why Can't You Reset or Change Your iCloud Password? Apple needs enough information to make sure you are the original owner of the Apple or iCloud ID (Both are the same). The information which Apple asks for is the one that you have provided Apple in your security settings.
To change your iCloud account on an iPhone, you'll need to sign out of your current account and into your new one in the Settings app. If you have more than one Apple ID, you can use different accounts to sign into your iCloud account and the iTunes and App Stores.
Unlock iCloud Account Using a Recovery Key. If you have set a recovery key for your iCloud account, you can unlock your iCloud Account. By the way, another trusted iOS device that is signed in to the same iCloud account is also needed.
iCloud Keychain keeps your passwords, passkeys, and other secure information updated across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
Go to Settings > Password Manager. Scroll through the passwords and select the account you want to view the password. Type your PIN or use your biometrics to access your saved account credentials.
You can have an iCloud email address that is separate from your main AppleID. However some people use them as one and the same.
