Each step is a full cup, they are NOT half cup sizes. So a G is larger than an FF.
In American bra size, A DDD cup is also called an F cup, which sits just one size above a G cup. It means that they differ by just one inch. A seven-inch difference between bust and band is a DDD or F cup. Meanwhile, an eight-inch difference puts you at a G cup range.
Though the 34F sounds like it has the same cup volume as the 36F, it's actually one cup size smaller. To keep the cup volume the same, you'll need to try a 34G, which ensures a snug and comfortable fit, while maintaining the same cup volume as the 36F.
So 34FF is the same as both 32G and 36F, because you're adjusting the cup to back ratio. Wear any of the three and A-BRA-CAD-A-BRA – all three have the same amount space in the cups.
A: A double letter signifies a cup and a half, like the difference between 13 (f), 13.5 (ff), and 14 (g). A G cup is bigger.
For some reason, we have been brainwashed into thinking that boob sizes go from A-DD, DD being the biggest boob/bra size. DD is actually at the lower end of the scale, there is still E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, and K cup above that.
AA(Double A) is the smallest cup size, then it goes up to A, B, C, and then D. After D you can either go up to DD(Double D) or its equivalent E, DDD(Triple D) is the next cup size which turns to be the equivalent of F. Once you hit F/DDD you continue to go up letters like what was done before.
Cup sizes typically range from AA (the smallest) to a K (the biggest), and chest sizes range from 28-52 inches.
The difference is truly in the name… DD or DDD are the US standard; E and F are used more internationally. As our range continues with a G cup, for example, we'll call it just that, a “G.”

The smallest bra size is generally 28AA, but some places (particularly specialist retailers) will produce AAA cups. 28AA means that the bra band is 28 inches and the bust is less than one inch larger than the ribcage.

Measuring G cup size in inches
The best way to define a “G cup” is to use a tape measure to get the size around your ribcage, and then around the fullest point of your bust. A G cup is roughly either 8 or 9 inches difference between your underbust and overbust measurements.
If C cups are the midpoint or medium breast size indicator on the cup size scale, then D cups mark the transition towards larger breasts and DD cups are the exact opposite of A cups.
