Far Cry 6 is a great game for anyone above the age of 12. Wouldn't let anyone younger play... the game doesn't have much gore and other adult themes, there is however a heavy use of swearing.
Far Cry 5 is rated Mature 17+, due to the blood and gore, intense violence, sexual themes, strong language, and use of drugs and alcohol.
PEGI rates Far Cry Primal as suitable for those over 18 only, due to strong violence. The Games Rating Authority expand on the rating, highlighting that 'bladed weapons and clubs will cause the worst of the violence' and when used will cause 'lots of blood effects'.
The game also addresses a lot of very serious themes and forces the player to make choices in regards to drug abuse, child labor, and more. It can be an emotionally hard-hitting game. As long as the 14 year old in question knows what they're getting into, they should enjoy the game just fine.

The game's brutally violent, with lots of blood and gore throughout. There are scenes of torture, executions, violence against animals, etc. It also makes frequent use of strong profanity and shows characters drinking alcohol and occasionally taking drugs.
“A lot of care was taken to ensure the LGBTQ+ representation in Far Cry 6 did justice to the people and issues the game reflected,” says Navid Khavari, narrative director at Ubisoft Toronto. “This was truly a communal effort.
Cutscenes depict further instances of intense violence: bound/cuffed characters being beaten, kicked, and/or shot; characters executed by gunfire; a man cutting his own throat with a knife. A handful of scenes depict dismembered corpses or severed limbs amid pools of blood.
Whilst I never felt particularly in danger, as most enemies never really got close enough to hurt, the chase sequences with the Demogorgon were incredibly intense. Taking away your ability to fight and forcing you to try and outright a creature is faster and hitting you in the back can be very stressful and scary.

But by ESRB, this is an M-rated game. M stands for Mature, which means it is not suitable for anyone under 17.

There are no romance options in Far Cry 6. You cannot enter into romantic relationships with any characters, regardless of which gender you choose for Dani. Any relationships you build in the game exist only in the context of trust between comrades in an unstable nation.
Dani Rojas is the main protagonist of Far Cry 6. We play Dani's journey from on-the-run orphan outcast to beating heart of the revolution. Players are able to play both male and female Danis, and Nisa Gunduz played the part of the latter.
For anyone that cares there is no such setting.
Far Cry 6 is the latest installment in the popular Far Cry video game series. The game allows players to become a guerilla fighter in a war between rebels and a ruthless dictator, and it's been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. This M rating means the game has been deemed inappropriate for anyone under the age of 17.
The downside to the characters is that the overall story is uneven. Far Cry 6 tries to have a serious take on real-world revolutionary tactics but most messages fall flat. This is because there is a juxtaposition between the narrative and the gameplay.
The developers at Ubisoft want you to feel powerful, they want you to feel like a badass, and so they've leaned into the chaos, the explosions and the epic, wacky battles. As a result, as an open world sandbox, Far Cry 6 is a lot of fun.
To clarify: The Dani Rojas choice is cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay or the story. To quote Ubisoft, "both Danis are equal, both are canon"
Male or Female Character in Far Cry 6: Which to Choose? Both the male and female versions of Dani Rojas in Far Cry 6 have pretty much the same lines of dialogue. Choosing one over the other will not have any impact on the narrative side or the gameplay side.
It's gravely serious yet delightfully silly at the same time, and it's the kooky and comical side of Far Cry 6 that resonated with me most during my hands-on time with the game.
Parents need to know that Far Cry 5 is a violent first-person shooter for the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows. Using guns, explosives, a bow and arrow, and other weapons, players have to kill a ton of human enemies, as well as some animals, and it often results in bloodshed.
Is Far Cry 4 ok for a 12 year old? There's nothing physically preventing someone from playing the game just by the nature of being 14. It is a very mature game. There is a lot of violence (obviously) and minor nudity.
