Level C1 corresponds to proficient users of the language, i.e. those able to perform complex tasks related to work and study.
English level C1 is the fifth level of English in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a definition of different language levels written by the Council of Europe.
Candidates who have secured a C1 Advanced grade C, having scored between 180 and 192 on the Cambridge English Scale, are at Level C1 of the CEFR and can be expected to be comparable in ability with candidates who have secured 6.5 or 7.0 in IELTS.

The answer is yes! You will need to work a lot harder and be serious about your preparation for the C1 Advanced exam. While the B2 First shows you have a good grounding in English, the C1 Advanced is closer to the level of a native speaker.
Is C1 Advanced hard? Definitely yes. It is proof of language skills similar to those of native speakers. Although it is not the highest language level, (higher is C2) it represents the understanding of the language at the academic level and the ability to talk about virtually any topic freely.
Level B2: Basic Fluency
Reaching B2 is generally considered by most people as having basic fluency. You'll have a working vocabulary of around 4000 words.
C1 Advanced – Level C1
If you achieve a scale score of 180–199 (grade B or C) in your exam, you will be awarded the Certificate in Advanced English at Level C1.
The main difference between the two tests is the level of English that they allow you to achieve. C1 Advanced is targeted at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), while C2 is targeted at the C2 CEFR level. C2 Proficiency is therefore the more difficult of the two exams.

It takes at least 18 years in general for a native speaker to reach C1 level in his own language, so you can hardly expect that a teenage or adult foreigner can take any less than a decade to approach that level.
How long does it take to receive your C1 licence? After completing and passing the practical test, you will need to wait about 10 to 15 days to receive your new C1 driving licence number. Then you can drive your motorhome!
You can definitely and easily reach C1 level within a time frame of 1 year. I completed A1- B1 level in 4 months(4 hours of German class, five days a week). I used to revise the grammar chapters on regular basis, as it would be much easier to build up new sentences. I also used to read some books and online material.

In order to progress to C2 level, students need to work on their pronunciation and intonation to sound like native speakers. Additionally, they should be able to communicate effectively with native speakers on abstract topics and handle difficult conversations as well as discuss any topic without difficulty.
A person who scores at C2 level on a CEFR exam may have a near-native speaker level of proficiency in the language, but their proficiency in the language may still be different from a native speaker in various areas such as colloquial expressions, accents, and some cultural knowledge.
At A2 proficiency level, English learners can: Talk with English speakers, and network with English-speaking colleagues on familiar topics. Understand slow, frequently used expressions in areas such as shopping, family, and employment.
