Breathe into me Holy Spirit, that all my thoughts may be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy.
I receive the Holy Spirit through the power of prayer, keeping my mind pure, and striving to keep gospel standards. Learning and understanding the role of the Spirit is a continuous process. And then following what my Savior asks gives me a greater desire to act upon it and be more Christlike.
To pray “in the Holy Spirit,” then is to pray with the conscious awareness of God's presence surrounding us and sanctifying both us and our prayer.
These three powerful morning prayers are the prayers of thanksgiving, the Lord's Prayer, and the prayer of Jabez. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray, the Bible tells us to enter his gates with thanksgiving, and Jabez prayed to God and God granted him his request.
The apostolic injunction to “pray in the Holy Spirit” does not vary, modify or cancel out this model prayer as that would violate the unity of Scripture. “Praying in tongues” exists but it is distinct from “praying in the Holy Spirit.”
For some people, the Holy Ghost may cause them to feel overwhelmed with emotion and moved to tears. For others, tears rarely or never come. And that's okay. For them, the Holy Ghost may produce a subtle feeling of gratitude, peace, reverence, or love (see Galatians 5:22–23).
Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This power that comes from the Holy Spirit allows you to stand strong for the things of God.
I think there are at least five ways of praying in the Spirit: 1) praying God's Word; 2) listening to God and praying; 3) partnering in prayer with Christ your Intercessor; 4) praying the God-given desires of your heart; 5) praying with divine love. Our prayer lives come to life when we are empowered by the Spirit.
If you desire to speak in tongues, pray this: Lord Jesus, Fill me with your Spirit. Lord Jesus, baptize me into your Holy Spirit. Begin to release the sounds that come not from your mind, but from your spirit, and continue in prayer.

We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name. With You alone to guide us, make Yourself at home in our hearts; Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it. We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Dear Lord, This morning as I contemplate a new day, I ask you to help me. I want to be aware of your spirit—leading me in the decisions I take, the conversations I have, and the work I do. I want to be more like you, Jesus, as I relate to the people I meet today—friends or strangers.
Whatever blasphemies you utter, they too can be forgiven. In Matthew's gospel, Jesus says that even sins committed against him, the Son of Man, can be forgiven. But “whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” (v. 29).
When the Holy Spirit is not in your life, or when you've not obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit, you're good for nothing, for you bear no fruits and you lose sense of productivity and you become unworthy than before.
Certainly the Spirit of the Lord can bring strong emotional feelings, including tears, but that outward manifestation ought not to be confused with the presence of the Spirit itself” (in Preach My Gospel: A Guide to Missionary Service [2004], 99).
The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are an enumeration of seven spiritual gifts first found in the book of Isaiah, and much commented upon by patristic authors. They are: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.
Additionally, He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit and through dreams, visions and our thoughts. Further, God will use events and circumstances to speak with us.
It's important that you are convinced from the Scriptures that two or three set times per day is what you need to thrive spiritually. You will also find that as you put this pattern into practice, you will not only be convinced by the Scriptures, but by your experience.
