Eren Yeager was 19 years old when he died, although some debate exists due to time skips and his March 30th birthday, placing him just shy of 20 in the final events of Attack on Titan, specifically during the final battle in year 854. He was 15 when the series began, and the major time jumps and events leading to his demise put him in the late teens.
He didn't wanna die, he was just a 19 year old boy who wanted to live happily with his friends but forced to stare death right in the face. Eren did what he had to do but he was also human, he also wanted a happily ever after😥.
So, assuming the flashback takes place exactly one year ago (give or take 1-2 months), then S4 probably also takes place in Summer. Eren's birthday is March 30th, so he's already 19 in Season 4.

If you remember Season 1 Episode 2, after the fall of Wall Maria, Eren wakes up with the vague memory that he'd met his father. His father had giving him a key, prepared an injection, and told him to look after Mikasa and Armin. That's also the scene where Eren ate his dad (he turned into a Titan from the injection).
