Parents need to know that the level of violence is very intense in Squid Game. Characters are systematically tortured and killed for the sadistic pleasure of a game master. Adults have sex, and there are threats of sexual violence: Women are grabbed by the hair and beaten.
We learn that the organizer of the games is in fact Oh Il-nam (No. 0001), the old man. He founded the games with several wealthy friends after the group had become bored with their fortunes and wanted to have “fun.”

So, with a total of 456 players, the compensation could equate to 45.6 billion won. In U.S. dollars, that equals around $38 million. In the end, Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), known as Player 456, wins the games and takes home the total prize money. Squid Game episode 5 reveals some of the secrets behind the games.
You'll be relieved to know that the series isn't inspired by any real-life similar events, as there's been no game show in which contestants have been forced to compete in a series of deadly games.

The age rating for "Squid Game" on Netflix is TV-MA, which means for mature audiences only. According to TV Guidelines, TV-MA indicates "this program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17.
Squid Game is absolutely not for children.
